As all of us have seen the image of the Mangalyaan on the 2000 rupee notes, to celebrate India’s Mars mission. This serves to depict the country’s first venture into interplanetary space. In the same grounds the new 10, 50, 200 and 1000 rupee notes will have the print of historical monuments on them. The famous one stone engraved chariot called ‘ Eka shila ratham’ in Hampi at Karnataka, is being printed on the new 10 rupee notes.
