Meanwhile, former cricketer Mohammed Kaif dismissed the criticism of Sam Curran, the most expensive player of IPL 2023, stating that judging a player solely based on his price tag is not fair. He also pointed out the team’s poor strategy as a contributing factor to Punjab Kings’ position in the points table.

Harbhajan Singh praised Yuzvendra Chahal, the star spinner of the Rajasthan Royals, for his mastery of slow bowling and his ability to use variations effectively. The match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sunrisers Hyderabad saw the first instance of a century being scored by a player from both teams in the history of IPL.

Virat Kohli‘s match-winning innings received praise from former cricketer Sanjay Manjrekar, who called it unforgettable and highlighted Kohli’s ability to make a tough pitch look easy.
