Film actor Shayaji Shinde’s remarks about giving a plant alongside prasad to devotees in temples have gone viral. During his appearance on Bigg Boss Season 8 to promote Sudheer Babu’s film Ma Nanna Superhero, Shayaji suggested that it would be a great idea to offer both Prasad and a plant to temple-goers.
Reflecting on a personal experience, Shayaji shared, “My mother passed away in 1997. No amount of money could replace her. I promised to plant seeds equivalent to my mother’s weight across India. The trees I planted will grow over time, providing shade, flowers, and fruits. Whenever I see them, I remember my mother. While prasadam is typically given to those visiting temples, I believe it would be meaningful to also offer a plant. Devotees can take it home and see the Lord in it.”
