As dog enters temple, Simhachalam closed for 2 hours

Date:

On Thursday, a dog broke into the Simhachalam Temple located in Visakhapatnam.

Because this would compromise the temple’s sanctity, officials halted darshan for two hours.

The Samprokshana ceremony had to be performed by temple priests, so devotees had to wait. Only then did the temple open to devotees.

Devotees claimed that because of staff negligence, the stray dog got into the temple.
