Catch Mallya, Don’t Harass Common Man: Premalatha Bansal
Premlata Bhansali, who lives in Bhuleshwar area in south Mumbai, was caught by a lady ticket checker on Sunday at Mahalaxmi station of suburban network. The officer urged the 44 years old women to play the 260 rs fine for not buying tickets. She refused to pay the fine and also demanded that they should first arrest Mallya who owes the banks over Rs 9,000 crore. The lady police constable tried to convince her to pay fine and leave but she refused and spent nearly 12 hours arguing with railway officials. She demanded to know why the authorities were good to Mallya and harassing the common man.
She is produced in the magistrate’s court and urged to pay the fine but she refused to pay the fine. She even chose to go to jail for 7 days instead of paying fine. She had done a strange and proud thing by showing the government treatment difference between common and wealthy people.
