A Major Milestone Is Attained by Chandrayaan-3
The Chandrayaan-3 project, India’s attempt to explore the moon, has reached a significant milestone by successfully completing the orbit circularization phase. The spacecraft has achieved a 150 km x 177 km almost circular orbit thanks to a carefully planned maneuver.
The next action in the mission’s plan has been established, according to an announcement from the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The precise manoeuvre was carried out with skill and precision. The forthcoming procedure is slated to take place on August 16, 2023, around 8:00 a.m. According to ISRO, on August 6, the heavy-lift launch vehicle GSLV Mark 3 (LVM 3), which successfully launched the Chandrayaan-3 satellite, completed a planned orbit lowering operation, bringing it closer to the moon.
