Tension prevailed at Kukatpally Y-junction after a TSRTC bus rammed into another from the rear on Monday. Passengers inside the bus were feared dead and thrashed the bus driver Rasool. They attacked the driver alleging that he drove the vehicle in an intoxicated state. The incident has led to a heavy traffic jam between Kukatpally and Moosapet. However, the traffic police cleared the road and arrested the driver.
Meanwhile, the TSRTC strike is continuing for the tenth day. According to the schedule announced by the RTC unions, the JAC is likely to hold public meetings today, Rasta Roko on October 15, rallies on October 16, Dhoom-Dham (protest by cultural teams) on October 17, bike rallies on October 18 and state-wide bandh on October 19. All parties expressed solidarity with the bandh.
