Infertility cases in India on rising

If a couple goes childless even after 3 years into the marriage, the woman is blamed for the reason. This notion has been imposed on the women since long ages, even before undergoing medical tests. A recent survey took everyone by surprise, and shock. There has been an increase in 20% to 30% in the Infertility cases in Indian in the last 5 years.
The infertility phenomenon is not only confined to women. In fact, more than 30% of Infertility cases in India are related to men. Infertility in a woman is often due to hormonal imbalance, thyroid gland problems, damage to the fallopian tube, excess weight, and other factors. Similarly, infertility in men includes poor motility of the sperm and low sperm count.
Though the medical community is worrying about the rise in infertility cases in India, the married couples are turning a deaf ear. Unhealthy lifestyle, eating excessive food (in particular, junk food), long-term inhalation of toxins (thanks to air pollution), smoking, alcohol consumption is the common factors that contribute to infertility.
Advancements like the IUI (Intrauterine Insemination), ICSI (Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection), TESA, PESA and donor sperms are coming in help for men with infertility. But there is every need for everyone to change their lifestyles. Similarly, even the women should keep themselves fit, and constantly monitor their lifestyle habits for better health.
