There is a significant global outage on Instagram
Instagram, owned by Meta, suffers a temporary outage on Friday, affecting thousands of users worldwide, including in India.
The issue, which impacted various aspects of the app, resulted in 44% of users facing problems with the app itself, 32% with the web version, and 24% with server connectivity, as reported by DownDetector.
Users took to Twitter to express their frustrations and share memes and GIFs related to the Insta outage. Some users speculated about potential hacking incidents. This outage follows a similar incident last month when Instagram was down for over an hour, displaying errors and blank screens for some users.
According to a spokesperson from Meta, the outage was caused by a technical issue that affected Insta global accessibility.
