Hero Rajasekhar starrer, ‘Garuda Vega’ is all set to release on November 3 rd worldwide. Recently, the film’s pre-release function took place in Hyderabad. Talking at the event, producing Jeevitha shared few interesting details about the budget of the movie.
‘When the director initially explained the story, we were expected the budget would be around 6 – 7 crores. After the script work has been completed, we felt there is every need to spend 10 crores in order to keep the films’ technical values on par with the film. As the shooting went ahead, the film production touched a staggering INR 25 Crore.
Producers face loss when the film flops. But with high budget films, even if they have a good run, the producers hardly make profits. And if these high budget films become a flop, there is no way a producer can ever recover. With Garuda Vega’s budget being 25 Crores, we still went ahead as we did not want to compromise on any aspect of the film. I have immense faith in the film’s story and script.’
While the trade analysts felt that, Rajasekhar movies don’t have such a huge market, and may not recover the budget even if the movie is a hit. From the outset, it looks as if, Jeevitha has committed herself so much to the film that, it is no-way-out for her from here!
