After starting a ground offensive in Gaza on Saturday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that they had killed Abu Sahiban, the commander of the Hamas Navy, during the course of an overnight attack.
The IDF claimed that the dead commander had organized and carried out the maritime infiltration attempt by Hamas, which the armed forces had stopped.
The IDF appears to be concentrating on its objectives after the assassinations of Naval Commander Abu Sahiban and Air Chief Abu Rakbeh.
Media were informed by IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Halagary that the army has advanced into the Gaza Strip and may intensify its operations.
The IDF has already declared that on Friday and Saturday, it destroyed 140 Hamas underground structures.
