After weeks of uncertainty over the AP BJP President post, the current president Kambhampati Hari Babu has resigned. Official sources of the party confirmed that he has sent his resignation letter to BJP National President Amit Shah. The latest development comes at a time when names like Somu Veerraju and P Manikyala Rao were strongly heard as the next AP BJP President.
The resignation of K Hari Babu might be shocking for an outsider, but definitely not for the BJP party. Unlike other key leaders in the BJP (in Andhra Pradesh), Hari Babu never lashed out at the TDP leaders even after the fallout. Sources close to the party confirmed that this could be one of the reason for the BJP High command to search for alternatives.
Similarly, there has been high pressure from the AP BJP circles, asking the High command to nominate someone who can be aggressive, and highly unlike K Hari Babu.Despite the drama unfolding in the state, the BJP High Command is yet to accept the resignation of Kambhampati Hari Babu.
