BRS working president KT Rama Rao(KTR) emphasized the importance of having proper representation for Telangana in Parliament. He predicted a three-way competition in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in the state. Rama Rao assured that the party would make necessary changes to improve its performance and welcomed suggestions from party members.
During a meeting in Nizamabad, Rama Rao expressed confidence in winning the constituency, highlighting the party’s leading position in recent Assembly elections. He urged the party to focus on the interests of Telangana in the Lok Sabha elections, emphasizing that victory was achievable despite past setbacks.
KTR criticized the Congress for making numerous promises during the Assembly elections and failing to fulfill them after coming into power. He particularly highlighted the Congress government’s actions, such as withholding payments to farmers and attempting to cancel welfare programs, which he pledged to resist.
He called on BRS members to expose the failures of the Congress government and criticized their tactics of causing inconvenience to the public for political gain. Rama Rao urged grassroots cadres to stand against any attempts to cancel welfare schemes.
