The title of Sai Dharam Tej’s next movie, “Ganja Shankar,” was recently revealed. The film, which will be directed by Sampath Nandi of Rachha fame, is expected to be another commercial potboiler from the director. But now, there are some questions being raised by the movie’s title.
A Hyderabad police officer recently stated that moviemakers ought to be more mindful of their social responsibility. Citing scenes from the movie Baby where drugs are directly rolled and snorted, the officer said that such behavior should not be encouraged by the film industry. It seems obvious that they are discussing a drug dealer now that Sampath Nandi called the movie “Ganja Shankar.” Alternatively, the name only implies that if he is not that. It’s currently the talk of the town how Sampath Nandi will defend this title.
But, despite the police’s advice for filmmakers to proceed with caution and concern, the movie Leo from yesterday also centers on the drug cartel industry, even though it doesn’t depict its use.
