In response to the BRS MLC Kavitha arrest, BRS working president KT Rama Rao criticized the BJP-led Central government for what he termed as a concerning pattern of power abuse and misuse of institutions for political vendettas over the past decade. Taking to social media, Rama Rao questioned the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) swift action, particularly when legal proceedings were still pending review.
Expressing confidence in the judicial process, Rama Rao emphasized the party’s commitment to pursuing legal avenues for justice. He also announced his decision to stand in solidarity with Kavitha’s family by staying with them overnight, demonstrating personal support amidst the challenging situation. Rama Rao is expected to travel to Delhi the following day, where he will continue to coordinate legal efforts and engage with relevant stakeholders from Hyderabad.
