Modi Applauds BJP Ideologue as a Source of Inspiration for Women’s Bill:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi celebrated the recent passage of the women’s reservation bill during a special session of Parliament in its new building. He described it as not only a triumph for democracy but also a reflection of the BJP’s ideology, influenced by the principles of its ideologue, Deen Dayal Upadhyaya, particularly “Ekatm Manavaad” (integral humanism).
During the inauguration of a 72-foot-tall mixed alloy statue of Upadhyaya near the BJP headquarters on his birth anniversary, the PM emphasized the significance of women’s rightful participation in politics for achieving democratic unity. He considered the legislation on women’s reservation as an extension of integral humanism. The PM also highlighted the BJP and the Central government’s commitment to “true secularism,” guided by Upadhyaya’s principle of Antodaya, which aligns with the motto of the Modi government, “Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas Sabka Vishwas.”
Modi remarked that the recently passed women’s reservation legislation embodies Deen Dayal Upadhyaya’s principle of integral humanism and serves as a source of inspiration for countless individuals. He noted that Upadhyaya’s message of compassionate service to the poor and marginalized is a guiding force for all.
The event, attended by BJP president J.P. Nadda, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, members of Parliament, senior BJP leaders, and party workers, marked the inauguration of Upadhyaya’s statue at Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Park in Delhi.
Modi encouraged BJP leaders and workers to integrate Upadhyaya’s seven principles into their lives, emphasizing that achieving success while bringing everyone along is more significant than personal success. He cited achievements like the successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 and the G-20 summit as examples of India’s accomplishments on the global stage, all achieved while preserving Indian culture and values.
Modi’s day also included attending party events in two states and paying floral tributes to Upadhyaya’s birthplace in Rajasthan.
