When Prime Minister Narendra Modi last addressed the nation, he announced the extension of the nationwide lockdown till May 3rd. The initial lockdown period was for 21 days, from March 25th to April 14th.
However, as the intensity of Coronavirus started to increase in the country, the Prime Minister was forced to extend the lockdown. Now that the even the second phase of lockdown is coming to an end, with May 3rd fast approaching, the Prime Minister is once again set to address the nation.
Sources say that Modi will be addressing the nation over the weekend, listing out the plans the government will be implementing in case the lockdown is lifted.
When Modi conducted a conference with eh Chief Ministers of various states, he asked all of them to come up with their own exit strategy keeping in mind the situation in their state.
