Moto Z2 Force gets Android Pie, but on Verizon

Technology is remarkable and with MotoZ 2 getting Android one indeed finds such ventures as being hi-fi. It is worth looking up in the techno-savvy market.

Sometime in August last year, Motorola did indeed confirm that it will upgrade the Moto Z2 Force to Android Pie. And after almost a year, the Chicago-based phone maker has indeed finally released the latest version of Android for its 2017 flagship.

The update is rolling out for the Verizon version of the Moto Z2 Force, and of course, other models will continue on Oreo.

The new-build sports version number PCX29.159-21 and it is likely to require a download of just over 1GB. It does bring in the usual Android Pie niceties to the phone like new navigation, adaptive battery as well as brightness, and UI changes. The firmware is still based on the June 1, 2019 security patch rather than of the July ones.

The build number happens to be PPx29.159-10. From what is familiar, it appears that the OTA has only been sent out to some users in Brazil. By owning the Moto Z2 Force and based in Brazil, one needs to be sure of checking out for updates.
