American pop star Nick Jonas says he “cannot wait to embarrass” his daughter with his Hollywood Walk of Fame star.

The 30-year-old pop star, who is married to Priyanka Chopra and has 13-month-old Malti with her, was given the honor of a spot on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles along with his brothers Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas as The Jonas Brothers, reports aceshowbiz.com.

Nick joked that he wants to show his daughter up in front of her friends with the star when she is a teenager as the little one appeared in public for the first time ever.

He said, “To my beautiful wife, you are the calm in the crazy, the rock in the storm and I love being married to you. It is the greatest gift. And I love being a parent with you, so Malti Marie, ‘Hi, babe.’ I can’t wait to come back here with you in 15 years and embarrass you in front of your friends.”

Nick was joined by his brothers at the event, who he has sold more than five million albums since their days appearing on ‘Camp Rock’ and ‘Hannah Montana’ in the late 2000s, and Kevin went on to explain that the honor was a “testament” to the support of their fans.

He said, “This is a testament to the love and support of our fans, our family, and our friends who have been with us every step of the way.”

“Thank you to everyone who has shown up, and even flown in, for this moment. We are so grateful to everyone who has made this possible, from our label to our management, to the media, and of course, most importantly, our fans.”

Taaraka Ratna continues to be in critical state at B’luru hospital

Telugu actor and politician Nandamuri Taaraka Ratna continued to be in a critical state on ventilatory and other support in Bengaluru’s Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Narayana Hrudayalaya) on Monday, the hospital said.

“We would like to clarify certain media reports, and state that he has not been put on any ECMO support till now. His family is constantly updated about his condition. Any changes to his clinical condition will be notified as required. We request that the public continue to support us in providing privacy and uninterrupted treatment,” a hospital statement said.

The famous Telugu actor and Telugu Desam Party leader suffered cardiac arrest in Andhra Pradesh’s Kuppam on January 27 and was shifted to a hospital there. He was transferred to Narayana Hrudalaya via road on January 28.

On arriving at the hospital, higher-level diagnostics showed that his condition was highly critical due to cardiogenic shock after the myocardial infarction.

Telugu superstars Nandamuri Balakrishna and Junior NTR visited him as well as his family and TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.

Tollywood star Nani’s first pan-India movie ‘Dasara’ is slated to hit the screens in March this year.

In a reflection of the movie’s pan-India positioning, the teasers in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada were launched on Monday by S.S. Rajamouli, Shahid Kapoor, Dhanush, Dulquer Salmaan, and Rakshit Shetty, respectively.

From the makeovers of the actors and showing the world the lives of people working in coal mines as well as the customs they follow, the ‘Dasara’ teaser offers a whole new cinematic experience.

The very first frame shows Dharani (Nani) standing in front of a massive Ravana effigy. The village, Veerlapally, situated in the Godavarikhani, the coal city in the neighborhood of Ramagundam in Telangana, is not beautiful and the lives of the people are not colorful.

The people in Singareni coal mines look dark and drinking alcohol is a tradition. Dharani’s world is a wild one and his wrath is evident when some evil forces disturb the harmony in the village.

Helmed by Srikanth Odela, ‘Dasara’ stars Nani, Keerthy Suresh, Dheekshith Shetty, Samuthirakani, Zarina Wahab, Sai Kumar, and Rajsekhar Aningi. The film is set to be released in theatres on March 30 in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

Following the blockbuster success of ‘Master’ and ‘Varisu’, 7 Screen Studio has flagged off their third collaboration with Thalapathy Vijay, the film production house officially announced on Monday.

The project, tentatively titled ‘Thalapathy 67’, is directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the Tamil hitmaker who last helmed the Kamal Haasan-starrer, ‘Vikram’. He is also the maker of ‘Kaithi’, which is being remade by Ajay Devgn as ‘Bholaa’.

The ‘Thalapathy 67’ shoot started on January 2 and is progressing at a brisk pace. It marks the reunion of Thalapathy Vijay and Kanagaraj, after the massive success of their previous outing together, ‘Master’.

The film will also feature the music of Anirudh Ravichandran, who was the man behind the score of ‘Kaithi’, ‘Master’, and ‘Beast’. More details on the cast and crew of ‘Thalapathy 67’ will be announced soon.

The release date of Bollywood star Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming action entertainer film ‘Shehzada’ has been pushed by a week. The film, which also stars Kriti Sanon and Paresh Rawal was earlier supposed to release in cinemas on February 10 but now, it’ll release on February 17.

Senior film trade analyst Taran Adarsh was notified about the new release date of the film through his Twitter. He wrote, “#BreakingNews… #Shehzada shifts to a new date… Will now arrive one week late, on 17 Feb 2023… This #KartikAaryan – #KritiSanon starrer is directed by #RohitDhawan”.

The reason behind the release date of the film being pushed is seen as the earth-shattering performance of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s recent release ‘Pathaan’ at the box office which while continuing its dream run at the box office is setting up new records in the film trade.

The performance of ‘Pathaan’ is reminiscent of the Allu Arjun-starrer ‘Pushpa: The Rise’, which set the box office on fire and affected the business of films that were released with it or a few weeks after it.

‘Pathaan’, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham, is currently playing in theatres successfully despite boycott calls by certain outfits.

The docu-series sheds light on the pulp film industry of India which works under a lot of resource constraints. Considered to be a cottage-style filmmaking industry, the series focuses on showing what and who contributed to the 90s Pulp Cinema, a genre of content that had a strong and loyal fan following in its heydays.

It features celebrated pulp filmmakers like Dilip Gulati, J. Neelam, Kishan Shah, and Vinod Talwar, who were some of the then-successful names in the industry.

Arjun further said: “Prime Video gave them a platform which was not intended to make fun of. They are not trying to make it tacky, but are highlighting the people who have had this journey. I was very happy to be a part of this environment where they could tell their side of the story.”

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s latest release ‘Pathaan’, which also stars John Abraham and Deepika Padukone, is unstoppable as it has made a whopping Rs 542 crore gross worldwide in just five days since its release on January 25.

‘Pathaan’ hit another Rs 100 crore plus a day in its fifth day, as it registered Rs 60.75 crore nett in India (Hindi – Rs 58.50, all dubbed versions – Rs 2.25 crore), taking India’s gross to 70 crores.

The overseas gross on day five is at Rs 42 crore ($5.13 million), taking the total collection on its fourth day of release to Rs. 112 crore gross. In 5 days, ‘Pathaan’ has recorded $25.42 million (207.2 crores) in overseas territories alone.

‘Pathaan’ also crossed the Rs 250 crore nett mark in India in just five days with Rs 280 crore nett up on the board already. It is the fastest Hindi film to enter the Rs 250 crore club in just five days.

Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan on Saturday hosted a Twitter session, #AskSRK, where he answered questions related to “Pathaan” and even tagged actor Salman Khan as the “Greatest Of All Time” (GOAT).

The 57-year-old actor treated his fans to a question-and-answer session on social media, where he was asked about the box-office success of ‘Pathaan’, which also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

Asked by a Twitter user about movie collection, SRK said, “Bhai numbers phone ke hote hain hum toh khushi ginte haina #Pathaan.”

Salman Khan had a special appearance in the film, a user wrote: “@iamsrk Sir Pathaan tho hit ho gayi lekin Salman Khan ka muqabla nhi kr paoge box-office pe.”

To which, SRK replied: “Salman bhai is woh kya kehte hain aaj kal young log haan.GOAT. (greatest of all time) #Pathaan.”

A netizen asked about working with Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia.

Nandamuri Taaraka Ratna still critical; Telugu superstar Balakrishna pays a visit

The health condition of Jr NTR’s cousin Nandamuri Taaraka Ratna, who was hospitalized after suffering a cardiac arrest, is still critical, the health bulletin from Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bengaluru released on Saturday stated.

Taaraka Ratna is a member of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP).

The hospital bulletin reads: “He is currently under the care of a multi-disciplinary clinical team including cardiologists, intensivists, and other specialists. He remains in a critical state of maximum support. He will continue to be under rigorous evaluation and treatment in the coming days.

“Nandamuri Taaraka Ratna suffered cardiac arrest in Kuppam on January 27 and was shifted to a hospital in Kuppam with resuscitation for 45 minutes and primary treatment.

“Doctors there advised to move him to a tertiary center. Due to his critical condition, we were requested to transfer him to Narayana Institute of Cardiac Sciences (Narayana Hrudayalaya), Bengaluru when a team of doctors from NH traveled to Kuppam to evaluate his condition,” the health bulletin noted.

Narayana Hrudayalaya hospital also said that Taaraka Ratna was found to have an anterior wall myocardial infarction with balloon angioplasty, on an intra-aortic balloon pump and vasoactive support.

“He was shifted to Narayana Hrudalaya via road at 1 a.m. on January 28. His condition was highly critical due to cardiogenic shock after the myocardial infarction, and evaluation of his condition will continue with treatment under standard guidelines and protocols,” the health bulletin read.

Meanwhile, Telugu superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna has visited Taaraka Ratna at the hospital.

Police said that they have beefed up the security in the surrounding areas of the hospital as TDP chief and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is expected to visit the hospital.
