Arjun pens a cryptic post about karma after slamming news portal

After slamming a media portal calling it “unethical” and “insensitive” for a report that his girlfriend Malaika Arora is pregnant, actor Arjun Kapoor has now shared a cryptic post about karma on his social media.

He took to his Instagram stories and wrote: “Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can’t get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don’t care who you are. What goes around comes around. That’s how it works. Sooner or later, the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve.”

Malaika had also dismissed her pregnancy rumors by calling them “disgusting”.

A report claimed that Arjun and Malaika, who have been dating since 2019, were expecting their first child. The ‘Ishaqzaade’ star debunked all the claims immediately.

He wrote on social media: “This is the lowest that you could have gone and you have done it by being casual. Insensitive and absolutely unethical. In carrying garbage news. This journalist has been writing such pieces regularly and getting away with it because we tend to ignore these fake gossip articles while they spread across media and become the truth. This is not done. Don’t dare to play with our personal lives.”

Oscars 2023 will include all 23 categories presented live on air

All 23 categories will be aired during the Oscars 2023 telecast. Bill Kramer, CEO of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, announced the news exclusively to ‘Variety’ on Tuesday. “I can confirm that all categories will be included in the live telecast,” he said.

The news comes after eight different Oscar categories — original score, makeup and hairstyling, documentary short, film editing, production design, animated short, live action short, and sound — were cut from the main telecast at the 2022 Academy Awards, leading to much outrage across the film industry.

“We are committed to having a show that celebrates the artisans, the arts and sciences, and the collaborative nature of moviemaking. This is very much what the mission of the Academy is, and I am very hopeful that we can do a show that celebrates all components of moviemaking in an entertaining and engaging way,” Kramer told ‘Variety’.

Since his appointment in June, Kramer said he’s had many conversations about restoring the missing categories. “We are thrilled to be in a position to execute that.”

Jimmy Kimmel will return for the third time to host the Oscars. Kramer said he was excited to have the late-night host back. “I love having someone hosting the show who knows live television. I think that’s so critical,” he said.

When asked about what else audiences can expect from the telecast, Kramer said: “All I will say right now is that our anniversary, the 95th Oscars, is extremely important to us. I think it sets a really interesting rhythm for our 100th. You see this in the museum, I think we are able to celebrate our legacy while bringing the Academy into the future and the show will reflect that.”

Executive producers and showrunners Glenn Weiss and Ricky Kirshner of White Cherry Entertainment will produce the Oscars, and Weiss returns, for the eighth consecutive year, as the show’s director.

The 95th Academy Awards will take place on March 12, 2023, live from the Dolby Theatre at Ovation Hollywood. The ceremony will be televised live on ABC and in more than 200 territories worldwide.

Music first, trailer later: Promo blueprint for SRK-starrer ‘Pathaan’

If you liked Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Pathaan’ teaser then here’s a piece of disappointing news – the trailer of the film will take more time to surface. But to make things better, here’s another piece of news – the makers of the film have decided to treat the fans first with the film’s music.

The director of the spy-action movie – Siddharth Anand has said that prior to the trailer launch – the audience will get to experience the two spectacular songs from the film followed by the trailer release in January.

Siddharth Anand said: “Pathaan has two spectacular songs. And fortunately, both are so incredible that they are potential chartbuster anthems of the year. Hence, we decided to give people ample time to enjoy the songs before the film releases.”

‘Pathaan’, which is a part of Aditya Chopra’s ambitious spy universe, also stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham.

The idea of releasing the music first is to further build the anticipation for the film’s plot and cash in on the response to the film’s music.

“Since December is a party and holiday season for people across the world. So we will release the songs of the film before the theatrical trailer. This is also part of our strategy to hold back the plot of Pathaan to as close to the release as possible. So get ready to dance to the music of ‘Pathaan'”, the director added.

‘Pathaan’, which also has a cameo by Salman Khan, will land in theatres on January 25 in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
