Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer ‘Anek’ to release on March 31, 2022

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana-starrer ‘Anek’, directed by Anubhav Sinha, has been locked for March 31, 2022 release.

Ayushmann said: “It’s only once in a while that an actor comes across a story that makes him jump out of his comfort zone. While I have always backed novel stories, ‘Anek’ pushed me to perform with a renewed zest. It’s the kind of script that drives a person to give it your all. I am so proud that we’ve made a film like this and even more fortunate that I got the chance to headline it.”

Ayushmann said that ‘Anek’ is the kind of new age cinema that he believes in.

He added: “I am thankful to Anubhav Sir for choosing me to tell this special story and Bhushan Sir to be the support system we needed in our journey. Seeing our passion project go out to the world is so heartening.”

The film is touted to be a slick spy thriller, set against the geo-political backdrop of Northeast India.

Talking about the release date, Sinha said: “It was a challenging film to write and a difficult one to make. We shot it in rough terrain but what makes it special is that the takeaway was so gratifying. It was a delight to work with Ayushmann again who with his depiction of Joshua breathed life into the story.

‘Anek’ is jointly produced by Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Anubhav Sinha’s Benaras Mediaworks.

Producer Bhushan Kumar added: “It takes a true visionary to make a film like ‘Anek’. It’s a project I am incredibly proud to be a part of. Filmmaking is truly a celebration of diverse, spirited voices and I am glad we found a story like Anek to tell which will set a new benchmark.”

The ‘Pedarayudu’ actor has appeared in over Telugu 500 movies with his next film ‘Son of India’ under production.

Now, Mohan Babu is apparently readying to play an important role in one of the upcoming web series, produced by Aha. If the news is true, this project would mark Mohan Babu’s debut on the OTT platform.

Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming epic drama under Krish’s direction is titled ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’. Niddhi Aggerwal is his female lead, and Pawan plays a warrior in this most-awaited upcoming movie. The last schedule of ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ was halted up abruptly, as the ‘Vakeel Saab’ actor had tested positive for Covid-19.

Later, the actor had to arrange shooting for another movie ‘Bheemla Nayak’, which is slated for release in the coming months. Pawan Kalyan is to now restart shooting for ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ soon. With only half of the talkie part completed, the makers have arranged for a fresh schedule.

Pawan Kalyan is to join the sets of ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’ from October 25. It is reported that Pawan will be seen in a high-octane fight sequence, which is touted to be one of the most important sequences for the movie. Another important update is that Bollywood stars Arjun Rampal and Jacqueline Fernandez are to appear in important roles in the movie as well.

Noted producer A.M. Rathnam, who bankrolled Pawan’s ‘Khushi’ in the past, is presenting the movie, under A. Dayakara Rao’s production.

The epic drama is slated for release on April 29, 2022, as of now. It is reported that the makers are eyeing to wrap up the shoot as soon as possible, so as to release it on the announced date.

Shahid Kapoor to star in ‘full-blown’ actioner titled ‘Bull’

Actor Shahid Kapoor will be starring in the upcoming high-octane actioner titled ‘Bull’. The film marks the directorial debut of Aditya Nimbalkar, who has worked extensively with filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj.

Shahid said: “‘Bull’ is a full-blown action film inspired by real events from the life of Brigadier Bulsara. It is a privilege to play a paratrooper who leads his boys through a historic and selfless mission that has now become iconic for its precision and bravado. The opportunity to play a paratrooper is exhilarating and truly an honour.”

Set in the 1980s, the film is inspired by real-life events. The principal photography is slated to begin in 2022.

Producer Bhushan Kumar will collaborate with producers Amar Butala and Garima Mehta for ‘Bull’.
