Actor Arav releases pics of toned body; wins admiration of netizens

‘Bigg Boss Tamil’ title winner and actor Arav Nafeez, who is working on a series of films, has now released pictures of his stunning physical transformation.

The pictures are fast going viral, with several people appreciating the actor for his hard work and dedication.

Taking to Instagram, Arav, who posted a series of pictures of his well-toned body, said,”It has always been a dream to do a physical transformation. Just like everyone, Covid hit me too badly.

“But then, I wanted to rise back stronger. That’s when I decided, I need to transform not just physically but also mentally. Here is the result of my six months of sheer hardwork and dedication. Thanks to my mentor doctor Rahul and my family for all the support.”

Arav, who was a model, shot to the limelight after he won the title of the first season of Bigg Boss Tamil. The win facilitated a way for him to get into films and he turned an actor with the Tamil film ‘Market Raja MBBS’.

The makers of the hit movie ‘Mantra’, have come up with another thrilling concept titled ‘Butterfly’. The teaser released by the makers, promises a rollercoaster ride of emotions in the Anupama Parameswaran-starrer.

Earlier on Thursday, the makers of Anupama Parameswaran’s upcoming movie ‘Butterfly’, unveiled a nail-biting, no-dialogue teaser.

“Don’t Believe your brain. Don’t Believe your eyes. Then..What to Believe? Butterfly”, Anupama wrote, as she shared the teaser on her social media profiles.

The teaser barely shifts the locations. Anupama Parameswaran is seen with her two kids at the start, but going forward, they are gone, which makes her search for them desperately. With nothing, much revealed, the ‘Butterfly’ teaser manages to grab the eyeballs.

Anupama Parameswaran, Nihal Kodhaty, Bhumika Chawla, and others in the lead roles, ‘Butterfly is produced by Ravi Prakash Bodapati, Prasad Tiruvalluri, and Pradeep Nallimelli.

‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar turns narrator for Sharwanand, Rashmika movie

‘Pushpa’ director Sukumar has turned the narrator for the upcoming movie ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ starring Sharwanand and Rashmika Mandanna as the lead pair.

Sukumar’s voice-over for the movie has become one of the interesting aspects for the moviegoers, as the movie will hit the screens on Friday.

Sharwanand, who has a strong appeal among the family audience, seems to be quite confident of the movie’s success, as it is expected to touch multiple entertaining aspects.

Sharwanand is seen in the role of a desperate unmarried person, who wants to get married, but the ladies in his house make it difficult to give it a nod, even after multiple bridal glances.

On the other hand, Rashmika Mandanna plays a woman who is strong-willed. On meeting Sharwanand, she rejects him, pointing at his flaws, which is shown in a witty narrative.

The movie has a runtime of 141 minutes including ads and end credits. This is a crisp duration for a family entertainer like ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’.

‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ is directed by Kishore Tirumala of ‘Nenu Shailaja’ fame, while it is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner.

Release date of Kamal Haasan-starrer ‘Vikram’ to be announced on March 14

The release date of director Lokesh Kanagaraj’s much-awaited action entertainer ‘Vikram’, featuring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, and Fahadh Faasil in the lead, will be officially announced on March 14.

Produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran, the film, which has three powerhouse performers and a star-studded crew working on it for the last 9 months, has triggered huge expectations.

The film’s principal shooting began in August 2021 despite lockdown restrictions and a new variant that threatened to derail the shoot. The crew worked tirelessly following all necessary protocols and finally managed to complete the film’s shooting on Wednesday.

Now, with the film’s shooting having been completed, Raajkamal Films International, the production house producing this film, has said that the release date of the film will be announced on March 14.

Barring the leads, the film also stars Narain, Chemban Vinod, Kalidas Jayaram, and Gayathrie in pivotal roles and is one of the most eagerly awaited films of the year.

Nani-starrer ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ Hindi remake on cards

Nani and Sai Pallavi- starrer ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ had hit the screens in December, gaining attention from all quarters. Now, as the Hindi remake of this movie is on cards, top Bollywood actors are being named for the same.

If the reports are to be believed, ‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is to be remade in Hindi soon.

Apparently, a top production house is close to acquiring the Hindi remake rights of Rahul Sankrityan’s directorial- ‘Shyam Singha Roy’.

With a plan to materialize the remake, the production house has been busily working on it.

Shahid Kapoor and Ajay Devgan are being considered for the Hindi remake of ‘Shyam Singha Roy’, while there is no update on the female leads.

Well, an official announcement is awaited though.

‘Shyam Singha Roy’ is a story based on time travel, in which Nani is seen in a dual role, while Sai Pallavi has played a devadasi.

Director Harish Shankar’s Twitter post assures Pawan Kalyan’s fans of an exciting update on their much-hyped next film ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’.

The ‘Gabbar Singh’ director, who posted an interesting update, also shared a picture, as he wrote, “Guys remember this pic. Will share this exciting conversation when time permits”.

“Fully loaded. Mallee Loaded (Extra loaded)”, the ‘Duvvada Jagannadham’ director hints at the kind of content to expect from ‘Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh’.

In the picture, Pawan Kalyan, who recently played ‘Bheemla Nayak’, a cop from a tribal region, is seen having a deep conversation with Harish Shankar.

The picture is from the sets of ‘Bheemla Nayak’, where they seem to have met to discuss things related to their next project (Bhavadeeyudu Bhagat Singh) together.

Hollywood star Sean Penn abandons car, leaves Ukraine on foot

Actor-director Sean Penn who was in Ukraine to shoot a documentary has walked towards the Poland border after abandoning his car, according to reports.

The Academy Award-winning took to Twitter and mentioned that he and two colleagues walked “miles” to the Polish border after abandoning their car on the side of a road, along with a photo from the situation.

Penn, in a tweet on Monday, wrote: “Myself & two colleagues walked miles to the Polish border after abandoning our car on the side of the road. Almost all the cars in this photo carry women & children only, most without any sign of luggage, and a car their only possession of value.”

It was earlier reported a week ago that Penn has been working on a documentary in Ukraine after he was photographed at a news conference held at the Presidential Office in Kiev amid Russia’s attack on Ukraine.

He had also shared a statement on Twitter, saying: “President Zelensky and the Ukrainian people have risen as historic symbols of courage and principle. Ukraine is the tip of the spear for the democratic embrace of dreams. If we allow it to fight alone, our soul as America is lost.”

Prabhas, who joined his ‘Radhe Shyam’ team at a grand event in Mumbai, revealed why he isn’t married yet. When asked about predicting love, Prabhas’ witty response made everyone laugh out loud.

Mani Ratnam’s ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ to release on Sep 30

The first part of director Mani Ratnam’s much-awaited historical extravaganza ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ is to hit screens on September 30 this year, its makers Lyca Productions announced on Wednesday.

The production house, while wishing its chairman Allirajah Subaskaran on his birthday, tweeted, “Wishing our Chairman Allirajah Subaskaran a very happy birthday! The Golden Era comes to the big screens on Sept 30th!”

It also released the first look poster of the film along with the tweet.

The film is based on the classic Tamil novel ‘Ponniyin Selvan’ by eminent writer Kalki.

The brilliant story, that revolves around the early life of prince Arulmozhi Varman, who later on went on to be known as the great Raja Raja Chozhan, is one of a kind.

The film, dubbed by Mani Ratnam as his dream project, features a host of top stars including actors Vikram, Aishwarya Rai, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Jayaram, Parthiban, Lal, Vikram Prabhu, Jayaram, Prabhu, and Prakash Raj. The project will be among the most expensive ever undertaken in the country.

The film has the best in business handling each of its departments. A.R. Rahman is scoring the music for this epic historical and cinematography is by Ravi Varman. National Award-winning art director Thotta Tharani is in charge of production design while Mani Ratnam’s trusted editor Sreekar Prasad is handling the editing.

‘Rudra’ title track takes audience to dark place

As Ajay Devgn gears for his digital debut with the psychological drama series ‘Rudra – The Edge of Darkness’, the makers of the series released its title track ‘Inaam’ singer and businesswoman Ananya Birla.

The track with Hindi lyrics, ominous tones, and noir-inspired soundscape, complements the storyline of the psychological drama and encompasses the essence of the show which is a Hindi remake of the Idris Elba-starrer British show ‘Luther’. The music video depicts the haunting past of the show’s titular character.

Sharing her thoughts on her OTT debut, Ananya Birla said, “I’ve been an avid fan of the British series ‘Luther’ and it was such an incredibly enjoyable experience to collaborate on the Indian adaptation ‘Rudra – The Edge of Darkness'”.

“In the title track ‘Inaam’, I have tried to embody the emotions and intensity of Rudra’s mind and I hope the viewers enjoy listening to the track. I am super happy with how the music video has come together. It goes seamlessly with the show and is everything that I had envisioned it to be”, she added.

The six-episode thriller series also stars Esha Deol, Raashii Khanna, Atul Kulkarni, Ashwini Kalsekar, Tarun Gahlot, Ashish Vidyarthi and Satyadeep Misra.

Directed by Rajesh Mapushkar and produced by Applause Entertainment in association with BBC Studios India, ‘Rudra – The Edge of Darkness will be available on Disney+ Hotstar from March 4 in Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Bengali.
