Sushmita Sen confirms break-up with beau Roman Shawl: We remain friends

Putting all speculations to rest, actress and former beauty queen Sushmita Sen in a social media post has confirmed about her break-up with her beau Roman Shawl and said that the relationship was long over.

Sushmita shared a picture with Shawl on Instagram and shared: “We began as friends, we remain friends!! The relationship was long over, the love remains!! #nomorespeculations #liveandletlive #cherishedmemories#gratitude #love #friendship I love you guys!!! #duggadugga.”

Earlier this year, speculations about them separating started doing the rounds when Sushmita made a post on Instagram and mentioned walking out of a futile relationship.

On the work front, Sushmita was recently seen in the second season of the International Emmy nominated series ‘Aarya’, directed by Ram Madhvani.

Sunny Leone on her latest track ‘Madhuban’: Want it to be biggest party anthem of this year

Sunny Leone opens up on her latest dance number ‘Madhuban’, crooned by Kanika Kapoor. She has all the hopes from her latest song and believes it will be well received by her fans and listeners.

Talking about the song, Sunny says: “When I shot for a big song like ‘Madhuban’, I knew that everyone was going to like it. Working on this song has been unlike any other. From the online digital campaign to learning the song, then shooting for it and also getting into the costume — all of it was a lot of hard work and I hope that people enjoy watching it. It’s a high upbeat party number.”

The peppy track has been composed by Shaarib and Toshi and choreographed and directed by Ganesh Acharya.

She shares further about the shooting of the track and says: “It was a lot of fun. We were shooting non-stop for 2 days. I have loved my outfits and the different looks in the music video. Hope my fans like my look too. The best and the most difficult part of the shoot was using the harness. However, I can say it was all worth it because I am loving the response to the music video.”

Sunny says that working with Kanika has always been fun and she believes that this song will get much attention like their previous hits. “We have worked together in the past and have given hits. We are sure this song, ‘Madhuban’ is going to be a hit and will top the charts. I have loved her voice in this song and I am so glad that I got this opportunity to work with her again,” she says, adding : ” I want Madhuban to be the biggest party anthem of this year. So guys watch it and make your reels.”

Sunny will also be seen in a web series.

“I have a web series ‘Anamika’, two south films and some other things in the pipeline which I can’t wait to share later,” she concludes.

‘Madhuban’ is released on Saregama Music YouTube channel.

Kareena shares her Covid quarantine essentials

Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who is currently in isolation for Covid, has shared her quarantine essentials and it is something one cannot imagine.

Kareena on Thursday took to Instagram, where she also shared updates from the 12th day of her quarantine.

She wrote: “I am still trying to figure out if we are in COVID times or not…anyway, day 12…two days to go…stay safe all” in her first Instagram story.

Kareena then shared a picture of herself flaunting her signature pout and wrote: “Pyjama, lipstick and a pout… quite the combination… try it!!”

According to reports, Kareena and a few of her friends, including Amrita Arora, Seema Khan and Maheep Kapoor, contracted Covid last week.

Kareena will next be seen in the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’. It will hit the big screen on April 14, 2022.

Atul Kulkarni has done the Indian adaptation of the Academy Award-winning film ‘Forrest Gump’ that was originally written by Eric Roth.

‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ has been directed by Advait Chandan with music by Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The film is presented by Viacom18 Studios.

Meghna Naidu enjoys Christmas vacation in Portugal with husband Luis

Actress Meghna Naidu is enjoying her Christmas vacation with her Portuguese husband and tennis player Luis Miguel Reis in Cascais, Lisbon, a coastal town in Portugal.

She says: “We planned to come to Lisbon for our Christmas holidays as I have not seen my in-laws for more than 2 years due to the Covid pandemic and travel restrictions. I am so excited to be here after a long wait. We live in a place called Estoril, Cascais and it is known for a lot of restaurants, luxurious hotels, and stunning beaches. It boasts not only great beaches, food and drink scenery but a lot of great events too.”

Meghna, who has also featured in TV shows, like ‘Jodha Akbar’ and ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, says she is at most happy space and enjoying her married life. “Everything has its own time and I’m glad that I could enjoy opportunities that came to me on time. After being part of showbiz for so many years and making my name for significant work, I’m enjoying my marriage for now.”

Makers of Prabhas-starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’ plan massive event with 40,000 fans

The makers of Prabhas and Pooja Hegde-starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’ are gearing up for its release in January with plans for a big fan event with nearly 40,000 fans in attendance.

Helmed by Radha Krishna Kumar, ‘Radhe Shyam’ is as an epic love story, featuring Prabhas as a palmist, while Pooja plays his love interest.

The makers of ‘Radhe Shyam’ have planned a huge fan event in Hyderabad, where the theatrical trailer of the movie is to be launched.

The makers have decided to accommodate as many as 40,000 fans from across the country to witness the massive event.

“Close to 40,000 fans from all over India will be attending the event following all the COVID protocols. Only people with double vaccination certificates will be allowed entry for the event,” an official source confirmed.

It is learnt that an enormous set is being constructed at an open ground at Ramoji Film City outside Hyderabad.

‘Radhe Shyam’ is a pan-India movie shot in multiple languages.

Gulshan Kumar and T-Series present ‘Radhe Shyam’, a UV Creations production. The epic love story is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Vamsi and Pramod, and it releases on January 14.

‘Bigg Boss 15’: ‘RRR’ team of Jr NTR, Alia Bhatt, Rajamouli to appear on the show

The ‘Weekend Ka Vaar’ episode of ‘Bigg Boss 15’ will see the cast of S.S. Rajamouli’s upcoming epic film ‘RRR’, including actors Jr NTR, Ram Charan, Alia Bhatt and director Rajamouli, on the show.

Nora Fatehi and Guru Randhawa will also be appearing on the show as special guests. They are coming to promote their new song ‘Dance Meri Rani’. The music video features Nora lying on the beach as a mermaid and turning into a woman after being touched by singer Guru Randhawa.

Meanwhile, the ‘Ticket To Finale’ task was cancelled and it will continue Wednesday. During the ‘Dragon Fire’ there is a dragon placed in the garden, when the buzzer plays then an egg is sent through a belt. The nominated contestants tried to get the egg and protect it. ’83’ to have grand premiere in Mumbai along with star cast and 1983 WC squad

After its world premiere at the Red Sea International Film Festival, ’83’ directed by Kabir Khan, will have a grand premiere in Mumbai on Wednesday.

The star-studded event at 4:30 p.m. will be attended by the film’s team and the 1983 World Cup-winning squad where they’ll watch their labour of love before it makes its way to the theatres for public exhibition.

The film, based on the winning squad, narrates the story of underdogs, who nobody believed in. The team fought against all odds and clinched the title by defeating the mighty West Indies team.

For the film, Ranveer Singh has stepped into the shoes of legendary Indian captain and one of the greatest all-rounders, Kapil Dev.

In addition, the film also stars Tahir Raj Bhasin, Jiiva, Saqib Saleem, Jatin Sarna, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Nishant Dahiya, Harrdy Sandhu, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Addinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, R. Badree and Pankaj Tripathi. Deepika Padukone will be seen in a cameo avatar playing Romi, Kapil Dev’s wife.

‘Rocket Boys’ actress Regina Cassandra on playing legendary dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai

Actress Regina Cassandra will be soon seen essaying the role of legendary dancer Mrinalini Sarabhai in the upcoming show ‘Rocket Boys’.

The show, which also stars Jim Sarbh and Ishwak Singh in lead roles follows the journey of India’s greatest physicists Homi J. Bhabha and Vikram Sarabhai.

Talking about her part in the show, Regina said, “As an actor, to get a chance to play such an iconic character on screen for my first ever Hindi OTT release is like a dream come true. But there is also a great responsibility when you’re portraying somebody who is an iconic figure like her.”

Describing the depth of the character, she said, “Dancers have a certain body language, and it was a challenge to get it right. Mrinalini ji was a very dignified lady who was not prone to any dramatics, no matter what storm she was facing in her private life.”

Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu shut down a troll on social media who accused her of “robbing” Rs 50 crore from ex-husband and actor Naga Chaitanya as alimony after their divorce.

Samantha has been trending on social media ever since her item song ‘Oo Antava’ from ‘Pushpa’ was released.

While a huge section of the Internet was busy lauding the actress for the newest hat she has worn, one section has been degrading her for her ‘boldness’ in the song.

On Tuesday, one troll commented on her marital status, as he also accused her of robbing Rs 50 crore from a “gentleman”. His comment implies that the actress had taken alimony from Naga Chaitanya, related to their separation.

Samantha, who usually ignores her social media trolls by simply blocking them, replied, “God bless your soul.”

With this reply, the troll deleted his disrespectful comment soon. Samantha’s subtle, yet hitting reply caught the attention of all.

Tamil film ‘Pebbles’, India’s official entry, doesn’t find a place on Oscar’s shortlist

Director P.S. Vinothraj’s ‘Pebbles’, India’s official entry to the Oscars, has failed to make it to the next round of the race for the Oscars.

The film has failed to make it to the shortlist of 15 finalists in the International Feature Film category, which was announced by the Academy of Motion Pictures in the early hours of Wednesday.

Director Vignesh Shivan, who is the producer of ‘Pebbles’, expressed his disappointment at ‘Pebbles’ not making it to the shortlist.

He tweeted: “To check if our film has come in the list itself is a big achievement, yes ! But still! The happiness & pride that we could have brought in to independent cinema makers and producers like us would have been remarkable! If we could have made it to the short list!”

The Academy announced the shortlists in 10 categories, including the International Feature Film Category.

The films that managed to make it to the shortlist in this category are ‘Great Freedom’ (Austria), ‘Playground’ (Belgium), ‘Lunana: A Yak in the Classroom’ (Bhutan), ‘Flee’ (Denmark), ‘Compartment No. 6 (Finland), ‘I’m Your Man’ (Germany), ‘Lamb’ (Iceland), ‘A Hero’ (Iran), ‘The Hand of God’ (Italy), ‘Drive My Car’ (Japan), ‘Hive’ (Kosovo), ‘Prayers for the Stolen’ (Mexico), ‘The Worst Person in the World’ (Norway), ‘Plaza Catedral’ (Panama) and ‘The Good Boss’ (Spain).
