Anna Friel recalls a ‘supernatural experience’

Actress Anna Friel claims she had a supernatural experience when she was a child.

The actress, now 44, has insisted that she encountered the spiritual world when she was just seven years old. Back then, she watched her “little brass bear” move across a table without anyone touching it, femalefirst.co.uk reported.

“I remember me and my dad were watching television when I was seven and I had a little brass bear. We watched it move from one side of the table to the other. I asked, ‘How’s that possible, daddy?’ He said,
I have an answer for most things but not for that.’ So that’s a supernatural experience, I guess,” she shared.

Anna is set to star in the upcoming horror series “The Box”. She said preparing for the role of Kansas City police detective Sharon Pici, who discovers she is locked in a room from which she cannot escape, has strengthened her belief in the supernatural.

‘Beyhadh 2’ actor Ankit Siwach on his Bollywood debut ‘Banaras Vanilla’

Actor Ankit Siwach shot to fame with roles on TV shows such as Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, Manmohini, and Beyhadh 2, and is now excited about his upcoming Bollywood debut. Ankit says it can get difficult for television actors to get a break in Bollywood or even web films.

“It all depends on what approach an actor has towards his or her skill development. TV cannot be a medium for the usually subtle projects in films and the web. The makers are apprehensive while making cast selections because of the long-running image of characters on TV. This becomes a hindrance. There are difficulties in being approached for films or the web while doing a TV show. But then, we have seen many cases where TV actors have shown their mettle and not only survived but also ruled the film industry,” Ankit tells IANS.

His Bollywood debut Banaras Vanilla is a romantic drama directed by Sumit Mishra. “The film has been completely shot in Banaras. It is a magical city and its essence is enough to energize a film. The film has a unique story that touches aspects of the city and is set in the nineties. My character is a simple village boy who is dedicated to his work, loves his city and his clients,” says Ankit, adding that the release details of the film would be officially announced soon.

Having worked long enough in television and now gaining experience in the filmmaking process, Ankit shares his opinion on the difference between shooting for the two mediums.

“There is a huge difference between the two mediums, from the shooting pattern to the freedom of performance. The two mediums cater to audiences differently. The biggest difference is that films are script-bound and have starting and endpoints, mostly maintaining logic, realism, characters, and subtexts in the plot. TV is completely the opposite. It is a delivery-based medium. One can’t expect much pre-planning, execution, and logic when there are heavy deliveries to be met every day. TV is a very difficult medium to work in, it demands blood sweat, and toil on a daily basis, while a film may be a smooth sail most of the time,” he says.

Bigg Boss 14: Rakhi Sawant ‘pulls string’ on cheap humour, the joke’s on Abhinav

Bigg Boss 14 contestant Rakhi Sawant has been pretending to be madly in love with housemate Abhinav Shukla for a while now. On Friday night, she will pull strings to give her gimmick a push, literally.

In the latest promo, Rakhi is seen pulling the strings of Abhinav’s shorts, which leaves him shocked, and his wife Rubina Dilaik enraged.

“Rakhi, apni haddein cross mat kijiye (Rakhi, don’t cross your limits),” Rubina is seen telling Rakhi.

She warns that if Rakhi does not respect her husband, she would have to deal with him.

However, the warning doesn’t seem to have any effect on Rakhi or her antics.

She replied: “Aapke husband aapke ghar pe honge, humare yaha to contestant hain (He is your husband at home, where he is a contestant).”

Rubina continued to fuss over Rakhi’s latest antic, to which Rakhi responded: “Who are you to tell me my limits? You can not stop me, baby. I am in love with Abhinav. Jisko Jalna hai, jale (whosoever is jealous, can continue to feel jealous).”

Rubina then asks Rakhi not to go beyond a point in the name of entertainment. “There is a big difference between teasing and badtameezi (mannerless),”, she said.

Rakhi’s latest antic comes after she recently ripped Abhinav’s underwear, and wrote his name in red all over her body.

Now, the question that arises is if Rakhi’s entertainment is turning into harassment.
