Actor Sundeep Kishan, who is a part of the Tamil and Telugu film industries, has been left shaken by a video clip on Twitter in which a group of four Indian students, who are stuck in Ukraine, are seen appealing for help.

The actor, quoting the tweet with the video clip, said, “This really shook me up…sending prayers for their safety.”

In the video clip, four students from Tamil Nadu who are stuck in Kharkiv are seen appealing for help to get out of the war-ravaged country and get back home.

Speaking in Tamil, one of the students says, “We are not blaming anyone. We are not in a position to blame anyone. We don’t have the courage nor the qualification to blame anybody. We are just asking for your help. We are on our knees and asking you for your help.”

Another student says, “From the morning, we can only hear bombs go off.”

A third student adds, “They have closed all the places around.”

The first student then says, “We are holding on to our dear lives every minute and continuing to do our work. Not just us. There are around 5,000 students in metros around the country. They are like us in bunkers under their houses without food and water. Please help us.”

The video clip, which has been doing the rounds on social media, has now begun to garner attention.

Dhanush-starrer ‘Maaran’ gets Twitter emoji hours before trailer release

With just hours to go for the release of the trailer of director Karthik Naren’s upcoming film ‘Maaran’, featuring actors Dhanush and Malavika Mohanan in the lead, the makers of the film on Monday unlocked a new emoji for the film on Twitter.

Making the announcement, Sathya Jyothi Films, the firm that is producing the film said, “Sweet Surprise. Dhanush k Raja’s ‘Maaran’ Twitter emoji’s unlocked.”

The film’s heroine, Malavika Mohanan, also tweeted the film’s emoji on Twitter.

She said, “‘Maaran’ – such a cool emoji!”

The new emoji for the film on Twitter will be active until May 26.

The makers have already announced that ‘Maaran’ will be released directly on the OTT platform Disney+ Hotstar.

However, the release date hasn’t been announced so far. Rumors doing the rounds in the industry suggest that Dhanush plays a journalist in the film and that Malavika Mohanan essays the character of a photojournalist.

Prakash Raj slams AP govt for ‘misusing’ power to stop ‘Bheemla Nayak’

Actor Prakash Raj has questioned the Andhra Pradesh government about the alleged misuse of power and domination towards the Telugu film industry, especially in the case of Pawan Kalyan’s latest release ‘Bheemla Nayak’.

As the actor tweeted regarding the same on Sunday, he asked the government to put an end to their unwanted domination.

Prakash Raj has called out the government of Andhra Pradesh, regarding the restrictions it has implemented in the state on movies, as in the case of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’.

In his hard-hitting note, the actor wrote, “#BheemlaNayak .. #GovtofAndhrapradesh please put an end to this onslaught..let cinema thrive #JustAsking”.

The multifaceted film personality also questioned the misuse of power by the Jagan government.

Prakash Raj also mentioned that no one can stop audiences’ love towards their favorite hero and movies.

In the wake of Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ release, the Andhra government had appointed special officer forces at the theaters, leaving everyone to turn their heads at the deeds of the ruling party.

Special Government Orders were brought in Andhra Pradesh, only to stop the movie from releasing earlier.

Even after the court opposed bringing in, the Government Order related to ticket prices in the state, the government has turned a deaf ear to it.

The whole movie industry had suffered losses at the time of the first two waves of the pandemic.

While the Telangana government assures to provide help in the favor of the industry, Andhra Pradesh’s attitude only to hit at an actor-turned-politician, has become one of the hot topics in Telugu states.

On the other hand, the Pawan and Rana-starrer ‘Bheemla Nayak’ is reported to have broken even in the US.

Running successfully, the movie is screening for the lowest available prices in Andhra Pradesh.

The theatrical trailer of Sharwanand-starrer ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ was unveiled on Sunday, hinting at the promising storyline along with much entertainment.

As the movie is all set to hit the screens on March 4, the makers had unveiled the theatrical trailer of the movie at the pre-release event, which was organized in Hyderabad.

The ‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ trailer opens on a hilarious note, with Sharwanand in the groom getup. “Whomever you meet at the bridal glances gets married soon. I wanted that positive vibe, and hence gave it a nod for a match-seeing program with you”, a girl says, making Sharwanand’s unmarried life, yet miserable.

The trailer establishes the story quite a bit, as it features Sharwanand’s problems as an unmarried man, who stumbles upon a girl (Rashmika Mandanna).

Right from when the two meet, the girl starts finding faults in his character. The rest of the trailer portrays some funny quotes, as it creates anticipation regarding the family drama, which will be soon screened at the theaters.

‘Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu’ is directed by Tirumala Kishore and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri under the SLV Cinemas banner.

Kangana’s ‘Dhaakad’ to release in four languages

Kangana Ranaut-starrer ‘Dhaakad’ will be released in four languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.

This is Kangana’s second pan-India outing after the ‘Thalaivi’, based on the life of Jayalalitha.

Kangana says: “The film had to be made on a certain scale that had to be tailored to the vast vision of its makers. India has never seen a women action entertainer of this scale. A story as paramount as this should reach maximum eyeballs and I am happy to announce that Dhaakad would be released in multiple languages.”

“I can’t wait for the audience to meet Agent Agni. She will blow their minds with her fury and power.”

‘Dhaakad’ is a high-octane spy thriller led by a female star, the film is made on a lavish budget. In terms of appeal, the film is also the country’s first big-scale multilingual project to be headlined by a female superstar. The actioner led by Kangana, stars Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutt, and Saswata Chatterjee along with a power-packed ensemble cast.

Producer Deepak Mukut adds: “We got a female superstar to headline it creates a new norm. After the success of ‘Thalaivi’, Kangana is a big favorite in the South market. We will be releasing the film in multiple regional languages. It’s a never-seen-before scale of release for a woman-led film.”

Producer Sohel Maklai shared, “Over three years of blood, sweat and tears will give audiences India’s biggest female action star with the release of Dhaakad.”

‘Dhaakad’ was directed by Razneesh Razy Ghai and produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai and co-produced by Hunar Mukut.

Director Razy Ghai said: “From the beginning, we’ve worked towards ensuring Dhaakad to be a film for the big screen. I’m hoping it will rekindle the excitement and love for the moviegoing experience. We want to give India its next big action star to rally behind.”

The makers of ‘Bheemla Nayak’ had organized an event to celebrate the blockbuster success of the movie, earlier on Saturday.

Talking at the event, director Sagar K Chandra thanked the entire team, as he showered praise on Trivikram Srinivas for his hard work. “We are overwhelmed with the kind of response for this movie. Hearing blockbuster reports along with mind-blowing collections,” Sagar said.

Talking about the teamwork, Sagar K Chandra thanked Thaman, who scored thumping music for the Pawan & Rana- starrer. “His music added great value to the scenes,” Sagar K Chandra added.

“We are all flowers of a garland, who were kept together by Trivikram, who acted as a thread. He’s the one who held us together, coordinated with each team. We are forever thankful for his continuous efforts in keeping us all motivated despite the challenges.”

Thaman, who delivered good music for the ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ remake, stated that the team was confident about the movie being a super hit, ever since.

“We knew it would be nothing less than a Tsunami”, Thaman said.

Screenplay and dialogue writer Trivikram said, “I first need to thank the media. The media hyped the movie, as much as it was needed.”

“We need to shift the balance. We started the journey of Bheemla Nayak saluting forest, to take the character close to the jungle. We later imbibed Koshy’s character.”

Kangana’s ‘Lock Upp’ runs into trouble after court issues stay order on reality show

The reality show ‘Lock Upp’ hosted by Kangana Ranaut, which was set to be aired from Sunday, has been put on hold by the City Civil Court of Hyderabad.

As a result, the show will not air on any form of electronic or social media.

After taking note of a video clip of the trailer of the show, the court issued an ad-interim injunction on releasing the upcoming show, saying that it bears resemblance to petitioner Sanober Baig’s story and the script of the concept ‘The Jail’.

The concept, which is owned by Pride Media through its proprietor Sanober Baig, was written by Shaantanu Ray and Sheershak Anand and is registered under the Copyright Act on March 7, 2018, and was also registered at the Film Writers Association.

The petition explains how the concept was developed and also lists the details of the money invested by him at various stages of concept development.

Commenting on the situation, Sanober said, “When I saw the promo of the said show, I was in shock. I have been in touch with Abhishek Rege from Endemol Shine for a long time and had several meetings about the subject in Hyderabad. He had promised that once the market gets better, we will get going.”

He further mentioned that the show is outrightly plagiarised, saying: “The show is not only similar to our concept, but it is an absolute copy of the same. I could not believe that somebody could plagiarise the concept to such an extent. We have prayed to the court for infringement of copyright and have got a stay order.”

If the legal representatives of the petitioner are successful in proving infringement, the defendant production house (Ekta Kapoor’s AltBalaji) will be liable for consequences under Sections 51 and 52 of the Copyright Act.

It’s not that Sanober directly knocked on the court’s door. It was only after the production house refused to have a dialogue with him that Sanober reached out to the court.

“I connected with the respective companies and requested them not to go ahead with the concept. But they turned a deaf ear and challenged that they have every right to stream as per the schedule,” he said.

“I had no option but to seek redressal from the judiciary. The notice has been served to all the parties involved and we have the acknowledgment of the same. If the show gets aired, it’ll be a contempt of the court. I have full faith in the judiciary and I am sure that justice will be served,” Sanober signed off.

Alia Bhatt-starrer ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ has made a whopping Rs 10.5 crore on the first day of its release on February 25.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the earnings of Alia’s hits such as ‘Raazi’ and ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ on Twitter.

Hrithik gives shoutout to rumoured girlfriend Saba Azad on social media

Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan recently took to his Instagram and gave a shoutout to his rumored girlfriend, Saba Azad. The shoutout came ahead of Saba’s gig and it marks Hrithik’s first post for her.

The ‘War’ actor shared a picture of Saba Azad along with Naseeruddin Shah’s son Imaad Shah. The two have an electro-funk band called Madboy/Mink. Hrithik wrote on the picture, “Kill it, you guys”.

The rumors of the two dating each other have been grabbing headlines of late. Earlier, Saba was also seen at a Hrithik family lunch in a picture shared by Hrithik’s uncle Rajesh Roshan.
