Raghav Tiwari on the importance of ‘Visit Your Relatives Day’

Actor Raghav Tiwari, who is currently seen in the television show “Hamari Wali Good News”, enjoyed virtual visits to relatives on the occasion of ‘Visit Your Relatives Day’ on Tuesday.

Due to Covid19 and lockdown, the actor hasn’t been able to meet and spend quality time with relatives. Therefore, to celebrate a family day, everyone gathered virtually.

“The day encourages family members to stay connected. Our hectic lives and today’s fast-paced lifestyle often lead to losing touch with relatives. The observance reminds us to stop for a moment, take out much-needed time and visit relatives we care for and have not seen or spoken to for a while,” Raghav tells in an interview.

He adds: “Especially now when we are fighting a war against Covid-19, the day is more significant. So, I’m paying virtual visits to my relatives and will take a check over their health and well-being.”

The actor reveals he is a very emotional person since childhood. “I’m very emotional and very strongly connected with my cousin and other relatives. Though every year we plan a family get-together since last year it has gone missing. So, this year we decided the celebrate the occasion and cheer our moments.”

Raghav has worked in films like “Ranthambore” and “Mary Kom”.

Shama Sikander is ‘trying to help as many lives as possible’ through virtual fundraiser

Actress Shama Sikander has joined a virtual fundraiser initiative to raise money for Covid patients, and she says she is trying to reach as many people as she can to provide help.

“It’s the most difficult time we have seen in our lives. We are trying to reach as many people as we can. I am taking part in this virtual fundraiser to raise money, which can directly go to the aid of the suffering people through verified institutions. We have to follow all the SOPs asked of us. We are trying to save as many lives as possible. I pray and hope that we all get through this sooner than later,” said Shama, who is on board with Mission Oxygen to raise funds, and is also trying to get beds and oxygen for those in need.

The actress told that she, too, has experienced loss due to the pandemic.

“My heart cringes to see our country in this state last few days have been really heavy, I have my own family members going through lack of oxygen, one of my very dear friend’s sisters lost her life to Covid due to lack of oxygen. It’s been too much on us as a family and as a nation,” shares the actress.

The actress recently featured in the recreated version of the song “Ek bewafaa” by Bharat Goel. She shares the screen with Siddharthh Gupta and Akshay Kharodia in the song. The original song is from Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor Khan’s film “Bewafaa”, which released in 2005.

Krystle is also part of the Amitabh Bachchan and Emraan Hashmi-starrer “Chehre”. The thriller is helmed by Rummy Jafry. The film’s release date has been pushed multiple times owing to the pandemic.

Shilpa Shetty Kundra took to social media on Monday to remind netizens that they need to be gentle towards themselves at a time when the nation is battling the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The film is directed by Harshvardhan Kulkarni, who helmed the Gulshan Devaiah-starrer comedy “Hunter” (2015), and is written by Suman Adhikary and Akshat Ghildial, who earlier wrote “Badhaai Ho”.

Rakul Preet Singh is gearing up for the release of her new film “Sardar Ka Grandson”. The actress relates to Radha, her character in the film, saying she is a walking talking timetable.

Rakul’s character in the film is a very organized and level-headed person. Is the actress in real life somewhat like her on-screen avatar? “When (director) Kaashvi (Nair) narrated it to me and after she got to know me, she said Radha is Rakul! I am a little punctual about time and I have to do things right. I am a walking talking timetable and I could relate a lot with Radha. So, I do agree to that part,” Rakul told IANS.

“Sardar Ka Grandson” is the story of Amreek played by Arjun Kapoor, who wants to fulfill the wish of his grandmother, essayed by Neena Gupta.

The film is all set to release on Netflix on May 18.

Kelly Brook: I don’t have the instinct for marriage or kids

Model-actress Kelly Brook has been with her beau Jeremy Parisi for years but is not desperate to have children or tie the knot.

“I’ve got a bucket list and I have to say a wedding is not on it!” Brook said, adding that motherhood “isn’t on her radar” at the moment.

“I feel like marriage and children are not things I’ve wanted. I like traveling and being with my partner, I like animals working and being independent and I like my freedom. I like being spontaneous,” Brook told Notebook magazine, according to a report in femalefirst.co.uk.

She said having children is a huge commitment.

Brook said: “There are so many things I love, and I think marriage and children would stop me from doing those things. I try to imagine how it would be, and when you have children it’s a huge commitment.”

“It’s very hard to change your ways when you get to your 40s and I don’t think it’s for everyone. I’m not saying, it’s just not on my radar.”

Brook and Parisi started dating in 2015 and while she sometimes thinks about marriage and children, she says she simply doesn’t have the “instinct” for it.

She said: “I think about it every now and again, then I quickly forget about it. I just don’t have that instinct.”

Actor Himansh Kohli says he has always been close to his parents and often consults them for advice. Himansh was speaking on the occasion of International Day of Families on Saturday.

“I remember my father used to counsel me and we used to have a talk regarding everything. We used to have even the most awkward conversations so that I don’t make mistakes in the future. It’s necessary to open up to your parents, because the advice they give will always be in your favor, and they would also never let you do anything bad,” said Himansh.

The actor grew up in a family of four. His parents run a security business while his sister, who is a baker, recently got married. They also have a dog called Donut at their Delhi home.

“Family is like having somebody who loves you unconditionally. Having a family around is the basic requirement for any child to survive and thrive. Your family helps build your personality and have a perspective in life. Family makes a home, home,” he said.

Having said that, the young actor also asserted that COVID has made everyone realize the importance of their families.

“I went through Covid with family and those were genuinely tough times. I got vaccinated. I request everyone to get vaccinated. We lost so many people in 2020, and it is happening again this year. The fear of losing someone has brought people closer. We have also learned how the home is the only place you’d want to be if everything starts falling apart,” he summed up.
