‘X-Factor’ alum Tom Mann’s fiancee dies suddenly on their wedding day

0

‘X-Factor’ alum Tom Mann confirmed that his fiancee, Dani Hampson, died on what would have been their wedding day.

“I can’t believe I am writing these words but my darling Dani – my best friend, my everything and more, the love of my life – passed away in the early hours of Saturday morning, 18th June,” the songwriter, 28, wrote via Instagram, alongside a photo of his late partner holding their son, Bowie, reports usmagazine.com.

“What was supposed to be the happiest day of our lives ended in irreversible heartbreak. I feel like I have cried an ocean.”

Mann continued: “We never made it to the alter; or got to say our vows, or dance our first dance, but I know you know that you were my entire world and the best thing that has ever happened to me, Danielle. I will wear this ring that I was always supposed to wear as a sign of my unconditional love to you.”

Hampson, 34, had no apparent health issues and the cause of her death has not been publicly revealed. The publicist and Mann, who were forced to postpone their September 2020 wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic, welcomed Bowie in October 2021.

According to usmagazine.com, in his post, the former Stereo Kicks member wrote that while he was “completely broken” by the loss of Hampson, he was using “any strength I can muster” in order to be there for the infant.

“I will not be a mark on the parent that you had already become but I promise I will do my everything to raise Bowie just the way we always wanted,” Mann wrote.

“I promise you he will know how amazing his mummy was. I promise to make you so so proud.”

Describing Hampson as “the most beautiful person inside and out” and “the most incredible soul,” Mann concluded his post with a candid confession that he would be grieving “for a very, very long time.”

He continued, “My darling Dani, the brightest light in any room, my world is nothing but darkness without you. I will miss you forever.”

Mann originally auditioned for the X-Factor in 2013 before returning the following year. He and four other contestants on the UK talent show were placed into a boy band and they ultimately finished in fifth place. After Stereo Kicks disbanded in July 2015, Mann released music as a solo artist and worked as a songwriter and producer for artists including Rita Ora and Lewis Capaldi.

Hampson frequently shared her support for her fiancee’s career on social media.

From different stalls of chaats, and chole bhature to traditional dresses and rakhi, the Delite Cinema in the Capital was all decorated to give the feeling as if you are walking through the lanes of Chandni Chowk.

The fans had gathered and waited with bated breath to welcome the cast of Aanand L. Rai movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’, including Akshay Kumar, Bhumi Pednekar, Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Smrithi Srikanth, and Sadia Khateeb besides the director himself.

Akshay and the entire team of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ arrived to launch the trailer of their upcoming movie. Usually, the trailer launch does not happen in Delhi but as the movie is all set in Chandni Chowk, the makers preferred to do it in the Capital.

The story of the movie is centered around a caring brother, played by Akshay, who is not ready to settle down till his four sisters get married.

At the venue, Akshay was seen getting clicked with his on-screen sisters: Sahejmeen Kaur, Deepika Khanna, Smrithi Srikanth, and Sadia Khateeb. In the movie, there is a scene where he takes his four sisters for a scooter ride. That scooter was also kept there and he posed with them while sitting on it.

It was indeed a nostalgic moment for Akshay as he had done the entire shooting of the film in his birthplace. While waving out to his fans and exchanging fun banters with them, he recalled his childhood days and different shops where he used to enjoy his favorite food and how he used to watch movies in Delite even by purchasing movie tickets in black.

Akshay said: “I watched a number of movies at Delite even if it meant buying the tickets in black. In fact, there were other theatres as well like Moti Cinema many of which are closed.”

He added: “It never felt like shooting for a movie. It was more of a homecoming for me and hence the film is very close to my heart. I just remember what we ate during the shooting of the film. It was like we were having a picnic with Aanand L Rai.”

Leaving one and all stunned with her gorgeousness, Bhumi draped in a red sari, also made a dramatic entry on the stage while delivering dialogue from the movie: ‘Apni behenon ke aage mujhe fir se bhool gaya na tu'(you again forgot me in front of your sisters).

As the movie is all about sibling relationships, Akshay reminscised his bond with his sister Alka Bhatia and how they rarely had any fights with each other.

Bhumi added that she and her sister Samiksha Pednekar used to fight over every small thing. “We used to fight and argue over everything but were inseparable. We just can’t do without each other. Like the bond of the four sisters in the movie, I share a similar relationship with my sister. We share everything.”

Akshay also shared that his mama’s(Uncle) house is in Chandni Chowk where he visits sometimes and relishes the delicacies of old Delhi.

Terming it “amazing”, Sahejmeen, Deepika, Smrithi, and Sadia described their shooting experience with Akshay and Bhumi as fun-filled.

Deepika, who has featured in ‘Gandii Baat’, ‘Yeh Crazy Dil’, ‘Patiala Babes’ and ‘Who’s Your Daddy’ reminisced: “I had a wonderful time on the set and amazing food.”

The entire cast cracked jokes with the fans and media during the trailer launch.’Raksha Bandhan’ is directed by Aanand L. Rai and produced by Colour Yellow Productions, Zee Studios, and Alka Hiranandani in association with Cape Of Good Films.

It is scheduled to hit the theatres on August 11.

Kiara Advani’s take on modern relationships ahead of ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ release

0

While her last two films ‘Shershaah’ and ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’ were loved by critics and audiences alike, Bollywood actress Kiara Advani, who is gearing up for her next ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, says the main problem in new-age relationships is not having deep conversations to understand each other’s perspective.

She shares how the upcoming film is doing just that with the right doses of entertainment.

In conversation with IANS, Kiara opens up on her recent success and her upcoming film where she says her character is the closest to her own personality.

Asked how she is taking in the recent success and Kiara told IANS: “Of course, my heart is filled with gratitude but it is overwhelming as well at the same time. I mean everyone loved Dimple from ‘Shershaah’ and the box office result shows how much our audience loved ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. This is so surreal for me to get so much love from our fans, really! I always had faith in both the films but the great thing is, it matched the expectation of the audience too!”

In the upcoming film ‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’ Kiara is playing a modern young woman who is married to her childhood sweetheart and yet on verge of divorce.

Sharing her thoughts on divorce which is otherwise stigmatised by society, Kiara said, “I think in our film, we are exactly addressing that, how complicated new-age relationship is; how a marriage between two lovers turned into divorce, only because of lack of deep communication.”

She went on adding, ” When we fight with our lovers, we tend to establish how we are right, instead of understanding the other side of the story; of course, ego comes in between. For us, we are constantly balancing between professional and personal life. Many times we tend to move on from a regular fight just to handle a temporary situation. The crack in a relationship starts from there.”

The actress says she along with the director of the film Raj Mehta and her co-star Varun Dhawan had multiple brainstorming sessions to bring the topic right to the table.

Sharing how her character Naina is close to her own personality, Kiara said, ” I think she represents the modern Indian woman. A woman does not have to feel guilty to have the ambition to be a CEO of a company and at the same time the wife of her husband and the daughter of her parents. It is equality; because the same thing even men are doing and no one is questioning how they are balancing. I strongly believe in the same philosophy.”

“I also believe that men always do not have to be the sole provider of a family, financial responsibility should be divided, so as emotional expectation. Since Naina is the believer of the same, this is the closest to who I am in real life,” added the actress.

‘Jugjugg Jeeyo’, also starring Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, produced by Karan Johar, releases in theatres on June 24.
