‘Dongalunnaru Jagratha’ first look out

With Sri Simha Koduri as the hero, the first-look poster of ‘Dongalunnaru Jagratha’ was unveiled on Wednesday. The poster was dropped on the occasion of Sri Simha Koduri’s birthday.

What appears like a novel concept, the poster creates much anticipation. A car on the highway, with a no u-turn sign, the hero is seen in a tricky situation.

Preethi Asrani plays the female lead in ‘Dongalunnaru Jagratha,’ while Samuthirakani will also be seen in a pivotal role. The film is directed by Satish Tripura.

The film is produced jointly by D Suresh Babu and Sunitha Tati, while Kaala Bhairava is in charge of the music composition.

Actor Karthi thanks director Ameer as ‘Paruthiveeran’ completes 15 years

Actor Karthi, who also happens to be the younger brother of actor Suriya, on Wednesday thanked Ameer, director of his first film ‘Paruthiveeran’, on the occasion of the film completing 15 years.

The actor, who has gone on to emerge as one of the bankable stars in the Tamil film industry in the last 15 years, posted a note of gratitude on his Twitter timeline.

In the post, the actor said, “Fifteen golden years since ‘Paruthiveeran’. I feel blessed to have started my acting career with that film. Every move of mine was designed and tutored by Ameer sir and all the credit goes to him.

“Of the many lessons learned, I still treasure the way he taught me to immerse myself and enjoy the work that I do. Thanks to Ameer sir, Gnanavel , anna, my dear fans, and the media for ushering me into this beautiful path.”

The film, which went on to become a roaring success at the box office, also won two National Awards, one each for actress Priyamani and editor Raja Mohammad.

Tiger Shroff elated to work with Akshay Kumar on ‘Bade Miya Chote Miya’

Action star Tiger Shroff is on cloud nine after getting to collaborate with the ‘Khiladi’ of Bollywood, Akshay Kumar on the sequel of ‘Bade Miya and Chote Miya’.

The ‘War’ actor has been a big fan of Akshay Kumar and the project gave him the opportunity to work with the one whom he has admired for a long time.

Sharing his excitement, Tiger said, “I am so excited to work on this project which gives me a chance to work with the original action hero/the Khiladi – Akshay Sir! My father always tells me to follow his example and I know I have been his fan for as long as I can remember.”

He also praised his friend and producer Jackky Bhagnani, “This project is also extra special because I get to work again with my brother, one of my favorite people in the industry, Jackky Bhagnani. I am excited to partner with him yet again to push the boundaries of what he has envisioned.”

Recollecting how the film found its inception, he said, “I remember it all started in London when I was shooting for a film and Jackky happened to be there as well shooting for one of his films and he had invited me over. While discussing event films, he brought up the idea of a two-hero film – the kind of films we have all loved while growing up.”

“He said, ‘why don’t we make the biggest action entertainer ever!’ How could I have not jumped at this? He just thought of it and things manifested from there and it happened,” the actor concluded.

Samantha continued filming ‘Shakuntalam’ despite developing rashes because of jewellery

The angelic first-look poster of Samantha from her upcoming epic saga ‘Shakuntalam’ was released on Monday.

Producer Neelima Guna, who lauds the ‘Oh Baby’ actress for her dedication to work, reveals that Samantha Ruth Prabhu had to go through difficulties but still continued to film for ‘Shakuntalam’.

Samantha’s role required her to wear specially designed accessories, which caused rashes on her skin.

Producer Neelima Guna, who closely worked with Samantha on the sets of ‘Shakuntalam’ said, “At times, Samantha suffered from rashes while sporting floral jewelry. But she applied medication and continued to wear it. It was also a bit heavy for her, but she went that extra mile. Her efforts were truly inspiring”.

As Samantha reprises a role based on the mythological story, she had depicted an enchanting beauty, who was raised in a forest ashram. To bring in the resemblance, designer Neeta Lulla had styled special jewelry for Samantha.

“We used floral accessories, which were imported from Amsterdam. These accessories were customized to suit the current generation, while it will still showcase the special character”, Neelima said.

‘Shakuntalam’ is to hit the screens soon. The mythological movie is directed by Guna Sekhar.

Big B turns narrator for Prabhas-starrer ‘Radhe Shyam’

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is joining the team of ‘Radhe Shyam’ as he turns narrator for the upcoming pan-India film starring Prabhas and Pooja Hegde.

Amitabh with his iconic baritone brings weight and dimension to the film.

Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar the multi-lingual love story is set in Europe in the 1970s with Prabhas essaying the role of a palmist. The film is shot extensively in Italy, Georgia, and Hyderabad.

Talking about this development says director Radha Krishna Kumar, “The film is set in the 1970s and is mounted on a massive scale, we needed a voice that can command the nation and who better than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, a voice that everyone recognizes, respects and more importantly loves.”

Pawan Kalyan slips and falls as fan tries to hug him, but recovers fast

A video of Pawan Kalyan narrowly escaping slipping off his car as a fan tried to hug him during a public appearance in Narasapuram, has gone viral. The actor-politician was back on his feet soon after falling down.

All of this happened on Sunday, as Pawan Kalyan stood on the rooftop of his car to greet the people who had surrounded his convoy. A person from the crowd rushed to embrace him, causing him to fall. It could have been a serious accident, but the actor was unhurt.

Actress Lakshmi Manchu reveals details regarding her upcoming Tamil movie in which she will appear as a cop. Though the ‘Gundello Godari’ actress didn’t name the movie, she spills beans on her cop role.

“I did a lot of preparation to get under the skin of my character. It was a task to learn the body language and the tone right”, Lakshmi said.

“I’ve always wanted to play a cop, just to be a real badass and call the shots. Something about being in a uniform gives you the ultimate power so it was amazing being in a uniform and I think I enjoyed every bit of it quite a lot”, said Lakshmi.

Revealing that she had to speak to the people in the force, Lakshmi said, “I wanted to see what kind of guns they carry because I wanted to bring in the realistic approach”.

She adds, “I was the only girl on the set and the rest were all the men I was working with, it was quite interesting to see the exchange of energies because they were all looking up to me like one big something that came from Telugu.”

“But, the end of the first day we got along so well and it’s so refreshing to see young new talent, so on dot, working continuously and honing their craft, that was joyful”, Lakshmi said.
