Udaya Bhanu: Panchanama Is the Realization of a Dream I Have Carried for Nearly 15 Years

ZEE5 is all set to premiere its latest Telugu Original, Panchanama, on September 11. The investigative thriller blends crime, mystery and emotional drama, revolving around a gripping case in which every death appears to open the door to another mystery.

Ahead of the premiere, the makers organized a special screening of the first episode followed by a press meet at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad on September 9. The cast and crew interacted with the media and shared insights into their characters, the storyline and their experience of bringing the series to audiences.

For producer Udaya Bhanu, Panchanama marks the fulfillment of a dream she has pursued for nearly 15 years. Speaking about her journey into production and the support she received from ZEE5, she said, “Panchanama is the realization of a dream I have carried for nearly 15 years. I am deeply grateful to ZEE5 and Anu ma’am for trusting me with this project and giving me the opportunity to step into production.”

She also praised the entire team for their commitment to the project, particularly given the demanding production schedule. According to Udaya Bhanu, the team worked with passion and dedication to deliver a quality series within a tight timeframe.

She further explained that while the core elements of the original story were retained, the team developed a fresh narrative with the support of writer Nagendra, director Mohan Srivatsa, DOP Sandeep and the wider technical and creative crew. She credited every cast and crew member for contributing to the final product.

Reflecting on her journey, Udaya Bhanu added, “I strongly believe that when a door closes, we must create our own path.” She described Panchanama as only the beginning of Udaya Bhanu Productions and expressed her desire to continue producing meaningful stories while encouraging new talent.

The producer also opened up about the emotional experience of reaching this milestone after years of struggle. She said, “I believe being emotional is a strength. In today’s world, sensitivity has become rare, and I am happy to remain the way I am.” She added that while thanking ZEE5 for the opportunity, memories of her 15-year journey, struggles and the many stories she had carried with her came rushing back, leaving her emotional.

The series features Bharath Srinivasan as Jai Ram, with Medha Reddy, Shivaji Raja, Surya Srinivas, Srija, Radhika Preethi, Charan Babu and Shiva Karthik Danda in key roles.

With its combination of crime, mystery and emotional drama, Panchanama is expected to offer an intriguing investigative narrative. The series will premiere on ZEE5 on September 11, marking an important new chapter in Udaya Bhanu’s journey as a producer.

Epic: Vaishnavi Chaitanya Plays Yet Another Controversial Character

Vaishnavi Chaitanya is all set for the release of Epic this week, with Anand Deverakonda playing the male lead. The upcoming film has already generated curiosity among moviegoers, particularly following the intriguing comments made by director Aditya Haasan during the pre-release event.

The filmmaker’s statement that he would stand by Vaishnavi and protect her from online trolling immediately grabbed attention. His comments have fueled speculation that the actress is playing a bold and potentially controversial character in the film.

According to reports, Epic revolves around a young Telugu woman who moves in with her partner and eventually finds herself dealing with complications in their relationship. If these details are accurate, the film appears to be exploring a contemporary relationship subject that remains relatively uncommon in mainstream Telugu cinema.

The nature of the storyline has already triggered discussions about Vaishnavi’s role. The actress previously faced criticism from a section of the audience following the release of Baby, even though her performance received considerable appreciation. Her portrayal in that film became a talking point because of the character’s choices and the emotional intensity of the story.

With Epic once again placing Vaishnavi in a sensitive and unconventional role, expectations and curiosity are naturally building around her performance. The film could potentially lead to strong reactions depending on how the subject and character are presented on screen.

Whether Vaishnavi will face another wave of online criticism or silence the doubters with yet another compelling performance will be known only after the film reaches audiences. For now, her character in Epic has certainly become one of the most discussed aspects of the movie ahead of its release.

Shocking: Dull Bookings for Karthi’s Sardar 2

Karthi’s Sardar 2, the sequel to the 2022 hit Sardar, is set to hit cinemas in just a few hours. However, the film’s advance booking trend has come as a major disappointment, especially considering the expectations surrounding a sequel to a successful film.

Directed by PS Mithran, Sardar 2 brings Karthi back in the lead role and was expected to generate strong interest at the ticket counters. Usually, a successful film’s sequel enjoys a considerable advantage when it comes to advance bookings. However, the latest scenario is quite different for Sardar 2.

The film’s all-India advance bookings are currently below the Rs. 3 crore mark, with Tamil Nadu, its key market, showing particularly weak numbers. The slow pace of ticket sales has raised concerns among trade circles, especially with the film nearing its theatrical release.

The biggest challenge is the movie’s production cost. Sardar 2 has reportedly been made on a budget exceeding Rs. 100 crores, meaning the film needs to perform strongly at the box office to recover its investment and emerge as a success.

At this stage, the film’s theatrical run could largely depend on the audience response after release. A positive word-of-mouth could help the movie pick up momentum despite the slow start. However, if the reviews and audience reactions turn negative, recovering such a massive investment could become a difficult task.

With just hours left before the theatrical release, all eyes are now on whether Sardar 2 can overcome its disappointing advance bookings and deliver a strong opening at the box office. The real test begins once the film reaches audiences.

The Paradise: North America Pre-Sales Cross $140K With 5,000+ Tickets Sold

Nani’s much-awaited The Paradise is just two weeks away from its worldwide theatrical release, and the film is already creating a strong buzz at the ticket counters. Directed by Srikanth Odela, the action-packed outing has been generating considerable anticipation, especially as Nani and the director reunite after the success of Dasara.

The film’s overseas market has delivered an encouraging start, particularly in North America. Soon after premiere bookings opened, The Paradise crossed the $100K mark in pre-sales, signaling strong interest among the overseas Telugu audience. The latest update reveals that the film’s North American pre-sales have now crossed $140K, with more than 5,000 tickets sold so far.

The impressive early numbers have attracted attention from trade circles, with expectations continuing to rise as the film approaches its theatrical release. With two weeks still remaining, the pre-sales could witness further growth during the final promotional phase.

Kayadu Lohar is playing the female lead, while veteran actor Mohan Babu appears in a key role. The film is produced by SLV Cinemas, with acclaimed composer Anirudh Ravichander handling the music.

The teaser and songs have already generated a positive response, adding to the anticipation surrounding the film. With Nani and Srikanth Odela coming together again after Dasara, expectations are particularly high for their latest collaboration.

As The Paradise enters its final promotional stretch, the team will be looking to capitalize on the growing buzz and maintain the momentum across domestic and overseas markets. If the current North American pre-sales trend continues, the film could make a strong impression at the overseas box office when it arrives in theatres.

Release Date Locked: Major Update on Naga Chaitanya’s ‘Vrushakarma’ on the Way

Naga Chaitanya’s upcoming mystical thriller Vrushakarma, which stars Meenakshi Chaudhary as the female lead, is all set for a major update. The makers have officially announced that the film’s release date will be revealed this evening, raising excitement among moviegoers.

Directed by Karthik Varma Dandu, who impressed audiences with Virupaksha, the film has already created considerable curiosity with its intriguing concept and mysterious backdrop. While the official release date is yet to be announced, the latest industry buzz points towards December 3, 2026 as the probable date.

If the date is confirmed, Vrushakarma will be released around the same period as Prabhas’ much-awaited Fauzi. The potential clash could make the December 2026 release season particularly interesting for Telugu cinema fans, with two highly anticipated projects competing for audience attention.

The film also features a notable supporting cast, including veteran actor Jayaram. Adding further interest to the project, Laapataa Ladies fame Sparsh Shrivastava is making his Tollywood debut with Vrushakarma, reportedly playing the antagonist.

Produced by BVSN Prasad under the banner of Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra, the movie has music composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath. With a talented cast, an intriguing thriller premise and the director’s previous success in the mystical-thriller genre, expectations surrounding the film continue to build.

The official release date announcement this evening is expected to provide clarity on when audiences can witness Naga Chaitanya in this mysterious new avatar. If the December 3 date turns out to be true, Vrushakarma could become one of the key Telugu releases to watch out for in the final month of 2026.

Mirzapur The Movie Holds Strong on Tuesday, Crosses Rs. 129 Crore

Mirzapur The Movie continues to maintain a strong grip at the box office, with the Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal and Divyenndu starrer putting up another solid number on its first Tuesday. The film brings back the popular characters from the hit franchise, with Rasika Dugal and Shweta Tripathi Sharma also reprising their well-known roles.

Directed by Gurmmeet Singh, the A-rated crime drama enjoyed a strong opening weekend and has managed to maintain its momentum during the crucial weekdays. After collecting Rs. 17.10 crore nett on Monday, the film recorded Rs. 15.60 crore nett on Tuesday for the Hindi version. This takes its five-day total to an impressive Rs. 129.55 crore nett.

The Tuesday collections received a boost from discounted ticket prices, which helped increase audience footfalls. However, the film’s Monday performance remains particularly encouraging. While the opening day benefited from the Janmashtami holiday, delivering a healthy double-digit collection on the first working day indicates that the film has found strong acceptance among audiences.

Now, Wednesday becomes an important test for Mirzapur The Movie. With the effect of the Tuesday ticket offer expected to fade, the film will need to maintain a steady hold to strengthen its position ahead of the second weekend.

The competition is also set to intensify, with Haiwaan arriving in cinemas this Friday, while Hanuman Ansh continues its strong theatrical run. How well Mirzapur The Movie holds through the next couple of days will determine the pace of its second-weekend growth.

For now, the film has delivered an impressive theatrical run and crossed the Rs. 129 crore mark within five days. If the weekday hold remains healthy, Mirzapur The Movie could be headed for a strong and potentially extended box-office journey.

Prabhas’ Fauzi: Is a Sankranthi 2027 Release on the Cards?

The Tollywood release calendar for December 2026 is becoming increasingly crowded, and this has reportedly raised questions over the release plans of Prabhas’ Fauzi. The film was previously announced for a December 3, 2026 theatrical release, but the latest developments surrounding other big-ticket projects have fueled speculation that the Prabhas starrer could be postponed.

Vishwak Sen’s Legacy is lined up for December 4, while reports suggest that Naga Chaitanya’s Vrushakarma and Dulquer Salmaan’s Sri Sri are also targeting the December 3–4 window. With multiple prominent films competing for the same festive-season audience, there is growing talk that Fauzi could move to a later date.

Adding weight to the speculation is the fact that the film is still progressing under the direction of Hanu Raghavapudi. While there is no official confirmation of a postponement, the Sankranthi 2027 period is reportedly being discussed as a possible alternative.

However, moving Fauzi to Sankranthi could create another scheduling challenge. The festive season already has several notable projects in the pipeline, meaning any change could trigger a reshuffling of release dates across the industry.

Interestingly, Prabhas has previously enjoyed Sankranthi releases with films such as Varsham, Yogi and The Raja Saab. If Fauzi joins the Sankranthi 2027 race, it could make the competition even more intense, with titles such as Chiranjeevi’s Kaaka, Venkatesh’s Vidudala, PVCU’s Mahakaali, Sambarala Yeti Gattu and George Krish also reportedly targeting the festive window.

For now, fans are eagerly waiting for clarity on the film’s release plans. An official announcement from Mythri Movie Makers is expected to provide the much-needed clarity on whether Fauzi will retain its December date or shift to Sankranthi 2027.

The film stars Imanvi as the female lead and marks her debut opposite Prabhas. Anupam Kher, Mithun Chakraborty and Jayaprada are among the other prominent actors in the cast. Vishal Chandrasekhar is composing the music.

With both December 2026 and Sankranthi 2027 shaping up as highly competitive periods, the release decision for Fauzi could have a significant impact on the upcoming Tollywood box-office calendar.

Drishyam The Conclusion Trailer: Ajay Devgn Starrer Promises a Befitting End to the Franchise

The Drishyam franchise has built a massive following among Hindi audiences, with both films starring Ajay Devgn emerging as major box-office successes. The second installment, in particular, turned into a blockbuster and further strengthened the popularity of the crime-thriller series.

While the original Malayalam franchise continued with another chapter, the Hindi adaptation is taking a different route by concluding the story with its third installment, titled Drishyam: The Conclusion. The makers unveiled the much-awaited theatrical trailer today at a grand event in Goa, and the glimpse promises a tense and compelling finale to the popular franchise.

The trailer once again brings Meera Deshmukh into the spotlight as she remains determined to bring Vijay Salgaonkar and his family to justice. Armed with fresh evidence, Meera appears more relentless than ever as she looks for a way to put Vijay and his family behind bars.

However, Vijay faces an even bigger challenge this time with the arrival of Crime Branch S.P., played by Jaideep Ahlawat. The new officer poses a serious threat to the Salgaonkar family and appears determined to expose their secrets while putting their reputation at stake.

Vijay, however, refuses to back down. His belief that an ordinary man can become an unstoppable force when protecting his family forms one of the key emotional elements of the trailer. The escalating conflict, sharp dialogues and mounting tension make the glimpse particularly intriguing.

Technically, the trailer makes a strong impression with its background score, performances, production design and overall visual quality. The fast-paced editing keeps the suspense intact and suggests that the third installment will deliver another edge-of-the-seat experience.

Interestingly, Drishyam: The Conclusion is not being presented as a scene-by-scene remake of the Malayalam third installment. The Hindi version reportedly features a completely fresh screenplay, giving the makers room to take the story in a different direction and offer audiences an original conclusion to Vijay Salgaonkar’s journey.

The franchise already carries enormous goodwill, and the impressive trailer is likely to push the excitement even higher. The film is scheduled to hit cinemas on October 2, setting the stage for what could be a major theatrical release.

Backed by Panorama Studios and Star Studios, the crime thriller features Tabu, Shriya Saran, Rajat Kapoor, Jaideep Ahlawat and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles. With a high-stakes story, a powerful ensemble and a promising trailer, Drishyam: The Conclusion appears ready to deliver a gripping finale to one of Hindi cinema’s most popular thriller franchises.

Ravi Teja’s Irumudi has emerged as one of the biggest theatrical successes of the year, crossing the Rs. 200 crore mark and setting several impressive milestones along the way. Directed by Shiva Nirvana, the film features Ravi Teja in the titular role and continues to maintain a decent run at the box office despite facing competition from other releases.

While the film is still playing in cinemas, attention has already shifted towards its much-awaited digital premiere. According to the latest industry buzz, Netflix is reportedly planning to stream Irumudi from September 18, 2026, with the film expected to be made available in multiple languages.

An official confirmation from Netflix and the makers is awaited, so the reported OTT date should be treated as tentative until an announcement is made.

The film features an ensemble cast that includes Baby Nakshatra, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sai Kumar, Ramesh Indira and Swasika Vijay in key roles. Produced by Mythri Movie Makers, Irumudi connected strongly with audiences through its emotional storyline and performances.

The film’s strong theatrical reception could also work in its favour on the digital platform, particularly among viewers who missed it in cinemas. G.V. Prakash Kumar has composed the music for the film.

If the latest reports turn out to be accurate, Irumudi could make its Netflix debut on September 18, giving fans another opportunity to experience Ravi Teja’s latest outing from the comfort of their homes.
