Juhi Parmar’s protagonist Renuka to die in ‘Hamariwali Good News’

Fans of the show “Hamariwali Good News” are in for a shock. Renuka, played by the show’s lead actress Juhi Parmar, will die in an upcoming episode.

In the current track, Renuka tries to save her daughter-in-law Navya (Shristi Jain) and grandchild. However, in a shocking turn of events, as Navya and the child escape from the mill where they are being held captive, Renuka is nowhere to be seen. Then, a sudden explosion in the mill kills Renuka.

“I have lived the life of Renuka for the past six months and it’s been a character that grew very close to my heart. It was a creative call, and I am in total agreement with what is best for the show. I understand the maker’s decision to bring a new twist in the show,” said Juhi.

“In fact, since the start of ‘Hamariwali Good News’, the message was clear — saas begin bahu ki aas (the mother-in-law will bestow hope on the daughter-in-law) and this sequence take the thought further as Renuka gives up her life trying to save Navya and her own child. Clearly, it shows how Renuka was such an amazing person and idealistic for every Saas and Bahu out there,” she added.

The actor, however, refrains from giving details on what happens next.

“Let’s see what the makers have in store for the viewers, especially about how Mukund (Renuka’s son) copes up with everything, as he was deeply, madly in love with Renuka. What the future holds for Mukund with Renuka gone, only time will tell. But I hope our fans continue to shower love and praise on the show like they have been doing until now, ” she summed up.

“Hamariwali Good News” airs on Zee TV.

Somy Ali: People are at home and cases of abuse have gone up

Actress Somy Ali, who runs an NGO called No More Tears in Miami, says that the Covid pandemic has only made her work tougher.

“We have always believed in helping people and while we have helped so many in their times of need, I feel the current time has made it worse. This seems to be a depressive spell where people are feeling low. Also, people are at home, and cases of abuse have also gone up,” she told.

The actress says that this has been challenging for her NGO, too.

“It’s impacted my NGO in the sense that we have never spent so much money on saving lives since our inception, 14 years ago. The call volume for help has been unimaginable and unprecedented. The cases of abuse have been horrific, (there have been) stabbing, rapes, attempted first-degree murders. It’s been complete hell,” she continued.

Sony says that this pandemic needed to be taken seriously from the start.

“It has been emotionally disturbing, depressing, and devastating as to how many lives we have lost due to this virus. These pandemics are not a new phenomenon, and there were many ways lives could have been protected. Be it our public not taking it seriously or our politicians making light of it, it is pretty disgusting to see how downplayed this was when we came to learn of its existence,” she says.

The former Bollywood actress says she believes in leading by example when it comes to following Covid protocol.

“I have worn masks throughout, have been vaccinated as well, and am getting a Covid test every two weeks. I am not doing this just for me, but these precautions are necessary to protect the women, children, and men I rescue on a daily basis,” she said.

Dia Mirza on environment: Need to hold governments, industry accountable

April 22 (Telugu Bullet) Actress Dia Mirza has always been vocal about environmental issues. On the occasion of Earth Day on Thursday, she said we must hold authorities accountable for changes in the environment, too, besides making efforts on the personal front.

“We need to mobilise greater momentum now than ever before. Of course, personal behaviour change will make a difference, but along with learning to lead more sustainable lifestyles, we also need to hold governments, industry and civil society accountable. We need to imbibe and disseminate scientific facts which are now more accessible than ever before,” she said.

The actress urged people to raise their voices now.

“We must join movements to protect nature/wildlife and demand laws that will ensure the change we need. We need every single earth citizen to work towards restoring the planet to its former glory. When political, business and environmental leaders work in synergy with people from all walks of life to protect the earth, a better world will come into being,” she said.

She says that the pandemic has taught us a lot about how we are interlinked to the environment.

“The ongoing pandemic has made it abundantly clear that we have to change the way we live, produce, manufacture and consume. Today, the health of every single human being and our collective harmony hangs in the balance and is closely linked with the well-being of mother nature,” she said.

An awareness needs to be spread, asserted Dia, adding: “What we need to begin with is the dissemination of environmental literacy at all possible levels because we cannot save what we are ignorant about. The theme of Earth Day this year is a clarion call to restore the balance of the natural world on which all of life depends.”
