“Rang De” release event held at Rajamahendravaram

March 26 (Telugu Bullet)  Youth star Nithiin and Keerthy Suresh-starrer Rang De is gearing up for a worldwide released today. The film was written and directed by Venky Atluri is getting a lot of positive buzzes, all thanks to the trailer and lyrical videos released recently. Rang De grand release event was held in a splendor manner at Rajamahendravaram.

Director Venky addressed the gathering first and said, “I have a connection with Rajamahendravaram and happy that Rang De event is taking place here. Basically, I did not confine myself to do only love stories but it just happened. Rang De is like a Holi festival that we see too many colors on a single day.

This film will have many emotions. Nithiin’s comedy timing will be something else in this movie. He will bully Keerthy Suresh but she will get her share of revenge. She is no ordinary woman and definitely, Rang De will entertain everyone especially family audiences”

Speaking on the occasion, Nithiin said, “Rang De is releasing on March 26 and I’m sure that you all will like it. This is a family entertainer and will be liked by everyone. This is my third film on Sithara Entertainments banner. A Aa and Bheeshma were huge hits and I hope to score a hat-trick with Sithara. Due to some reasons, our producer Naga Vamsi could not make it to the event,” said Nithiin.

Keerthy Suresh said, “Thanks to director Venky for making me part of this romantic comedy. I’m eagerly looking forward to scoring hat-trick hits with music composer Devi Sri Prasad. Nithiin is one of the best co-stars and I would like to clarify one thing. If you watch Rang De trailer, I may look like the villain but it’s not true. Nithiin is the villain and I take revenge in the second half. But don’t get carried away. Watch the film in theatres and get to know the real twist.”

‘Godzilla vs. Kong’ box office Rs 6.4 crore on opening day

Hyderabad, March 26 (Telugu Bullet)  “Godzilla vs. Kong” opened to big box-office numbers on an opening day in India, raking Rs 6.4 crore (nett) on the first day of its release.

The third instalment to the Godzilla film franchise, “Godzilla Vs. Kong”, which released in India on Wednesday, stars Alexander Skarsgard, Millie Bobby Brown, Rebecca Hall, Eiza Gonzalez, and Demian Bichir.

“We are absolutely delighted with the opening numbers and the overwhelming response for the film. This proves that movies like Godzilla vs. Kong are best enjoyed by audiences in the biggest cinema screen possible!” says Denzil Dias, VP and MD, Warner Bros. Pictures, India.

Post pandemic, “Godzilla vs Kong” is the first Hollywood film with big opening numbers. Local exhibitors, too are excited about the collections.

“The phenomenal response to this film reinforces the belief that there is a tremendous affinity for cinema-going, cutting across gender, boundaries, and age-groups. We are thrilled by the overwhelming response and are looking forward to a long run for the film at the box office,” says Kamal Gianchandani, CEO, PVR Pictures.

Teaser launch of Adivi Sesh starrer ‘Major’ postponed

Hyderabad, March 26 (Telugu Bullet)   Telugu actor Adivi Sesh took to social media on Thursday to announce that the teaser launch of his film ‘Major’ has been postponed.

The launch was earlier scheduled to take place on March 28 in Mumbai. No revised date has been shared by the makers as yet.

“Due to sudden tragedy in the director’s family and rising Covid cases across India, the teaser launch event in Mumbai, which was earlier scheduled for March 28, stands postponed. The new date for the launch of the teaser in all languages will be announced shortly,” he posted on Instagram.

The actor captioned the post as: “Wanted to do a national event for this national film in Mumbai in a big way. Slight change of plans Will keep you updated. Eppudu occhaam anadhi kaadhu annaya…Bullet….(well you get the idea) Reporting soon! #MajorTheFilm.”

“Eppudu occhaam anadhi kaadhu annaya” is an epic Telugu dialogue from the Mahesh Babu film “Pokiri”, which translates into: “It doesn’t matter when I arrive, brother.”

The story of ‘Major’ is inspired by the life of 26/11 martyr Sandeep Unnikrishnan. The film is made in Hindi and Telugu. It is produced by Mahesh Babu’s GMB Entertainment and A+S movies and directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka.

Neeti Mohan: No one can deny me work because I am a woman

Singer Neeti Mohan doesn’t believe that women musicians get less work as compared to their male counterparts. The 41-year-old singer adds that no one has the right to reject work based on gender.

“I don’t think that there is any sort of problem for women, be it film music or even non-film music. I mean, no one can deny me work just because I am a woman,” she tells IANS.

Neeti continues: “If I want to be a mother tomorrow and not work, that is also okay. If I want to work after becoming a mother, that is also okay. It is my choice. What I am trying to say is that, if you want to create your own space, you will find a way. No one else can decide the kind of work I want to do in the future.”

Neeti’s recent single, ‘Vilaayati sharab’, which she sang alongside Darshan Raval has become an instant hit. She shares, she always knew that the song would be an instant success, because of its timing of the release.

“It’s a proper dance number and a fun number. It was released around Holi, and we always look to, you know, dance on such kinds of songs. It was a really nice song, which took us about two months, to record and shoot for,” she signs off.

Bollywood actress and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt on Thursday took to social media to remind all that the Covid-19 pandemic was not yet over amid the highest spike in Maharashtra as India recorded over 53,000 cases in a day.

“Mask up people and please follow #COVID19 safety protocol. The virus is far more resilient than we would like to believe. Help the concerned authorities to help us, please! Too many people have been working tirelessly to keep us safe. Yet we behave so irresponsibly. Simply not done!” Pooja tweeted on Thursday.

The actress’s tweet comes just a day after Maharashtra and Mumbai saw a steep spike in Covid-19 cases.

There were over 5,000 new Covid-19 cases reported in Mumbai on Wednesday. The city recorded 5,185 cases — up from the previous high in 2021 on March 21 when 3,779 cases were reported.

Maharashtra recorded a fresh peak of 31,855 on Wednesday.

South gears up for big sequel season

Hyderabad, March 25, (Telugu Bullet)  Malayalam superstar Mohanlal recently returned in the suspense drama “Drishyam 2” and the film received a great response on OTT. The success of the sequel has clearly triggered off what seems to be the season of sequels in the South.

To keep fans hooked to the screens, filmmakers across all four big belts of South industry — Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada– are gearing up to bring back sequels of films that were blockbusters in recent times.

Interestingly, the maximum sequels are in the action thriller genre, which proves how bankable producers find the genre.

With theatre business going steady down South, filmmakers are working at a fast pace to ensure that the sequels of hits keep coming.

Here is an update on some of the biggest sequels lined up over th next few months in the South:

Hit 2
Produced by actor Nani, “Hit 2” is a sequel to the 2020 Vishwak Sen-starrer “Hit: The First Case”. The sequel will star Adivi Sesh. Nani recently took to Twitter to make the big announcement, saying: “As is KD @AdiviSesh is Krishna Dev Double badass!! Welcome onboard officer.”

Goodachari 2
Also starring Adivi Sesh, this Telugu film is sequel to the 2018 spy thriller “Goodachari”. When contacted, Adivi Sesh gave IANS an update on the sequel: “I have written a basic structure and I really get to work on it after the release of ‘Major’. I will start shooting for it at some point this year, once I feel that the script is strong enough and will reach the expectations.”

Ratsasan 2
Actor Vishnu Vishal recently confirmed that director Ram Kumar is working on the sequel to his 2018 psychological Tamil crime thriller “Ratsasan”. While nothing much is known about the progress of the film, it is clear that another film from the hit actor-director duo is on cards.

KGF: Chapter 2
This Prashanth Neel directorial brings back Kannada superstar Yash as the gangster Rocky, and has already created a lot of buzz. The sequel to 2018 blockbuster “KGF: Chapter 1” stars Yash with Bollywood actors Sanjay Dutt and Raveena Tandon in prominent roles.

F3: Fun and Frustration
This sequel to the Telugu superhit 2019 comedy drama “F2: Fun and Frustration” is already on floor. Actors Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah and Mehreen Pirzada will reprise their roles in the film. Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the film is scheduled to release on August 27.

Besides these, the Tamil films “Vada Chennai 2” and “Kaithi 2” are also said to be under discussion. However, there is no update on these so far.
