Online-based e-commerce platform Flipkart announced the Sell Back Programme where customers can sell their old mobile phones.
The Sell Back Programme was launched, after the accretion of Yaantra company, which was initiated with a focus on creating a recommerce offering.
“Through Sell Back Programme, We target to help organize this market. As the Indian consumer electronics industry witnesses fast growth, This program will further our attempt towards reducing the generation of e-waste which is a crucial step in creating a sustainable economy”, Prakash Sikaria, Senior Vice President and Head of Flipkart’s Growth Charter said in a statement.
The program would accept all mobiles, whether you already purchased in Filfkart or not and it will be spreading to other items and categories of all later this year.
Presently, the Sell Back Programme is run over 1700 pin codes in cities like Delhi, Patna, and Kolkata.
Firstly, Customers go Flipkart site, By answering 3 simple questions, Customers may know about the product’s estimated value from the “Sell back” options.
Post customer confirmation, a Flipkart executive will gather the product from their doorstep within 48 hours. Post verification, Flipkart voucher to be issued within a few hours, as per the confirmed sell back value.
Founded in 2013 by Jayant Jha, Ankit Saraf, and Anmol Gupta, Yaantra repairs and sells refurbished consumer tech products such as laptops and smartphones.
