On Tuesday evening, Pakistani Rangers opened fire in the Arnia sector of the International Border (IB) in the Samba district of Jammu and Kashmir, injuring two Border Security Force (BSF) jawans.
Sources told that BSF’s 120th battalion men were shot at by Pakistani Rangers while they patrolled the border in the Arnia region.
Two employees, Surjit Vishwas and Alok, were hurt in this event. According to the report, both have been sent to the Government Medical College Hospital in Jammu, the nation’s winter capital.
This is the first incident to occur in the IB after the military authorities of India and Pakistan reaffirmed the ceasefire agreement in November 2003, promising to uphold it not just at the Line of Control but also in all areas of J&K.
