He is an actor, producer, martial artist, director, stunt coordinator, writer, and politician who primarily works in the Telugu cinema industry. He made his cinematic debut in 1996 in the Telugu movie Akkada Ammayi Ikkada Abbayi. On the Forbes India list of the top 100 Celebrities of 2013, the actor came in at number 26.
Pawan Kalyan, born to Konidela Venkat Rao and Anjana Devi in Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, is the younger brother of actor Nagendra Babu and actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi. Originally named Konidala Kalyan Babu, he adopted the stage name Pawan Kalyan after a martial arts event he organized to demonstrate his training, with “Pawan” signifying his connection to Hanuman. Additionally, he is the paternal uncle of Tollywood film actor Ram Charan Teja and actor Allu Arjun.
Pawan Kalyan is not only a proficient martial artist but also holds a Black Belt in this discipline. In the year 2014, Pawan Kalyan took a significant step by establishing a political party named “Janasena.”
