Anupama Parameswaran Silences Trolls with Grace Ahead of Malayalam Comeback

0

Actress Anupama Parameswaran is making headlines not just for her upcoming film but for her powerful response to early-career criticism. While promoting her new Malayalam film Janaki vs. State of Kerala, the star opened up about being trolled at the beginning of her journey in the film industry.

“People said I wasn’t good enough,” Anupama recalled, speaking candidly about how she was doubted for her acting skills. But rather than retreat, she used the negativity as motivation. “I worked harder. Telugu cinema gave me a chance, and those roles truly connected with audiences—that’s how my path shifted in that direction.”

Anupama has primarily worked in Telugu films over the years, but she’s now returning to her Malayalam roots with Janaki vs. State of Kerala, which she says is deeply personal. “This film reflects everything I’ve been through. It’s more than just another project—it answers a lot without needing to explain.”

She expressed her gratitude to director Praveen Narayan for trusting her with the lead role. Set to hit theaters on June 27, Janaki vs. State of Kerala marks her strong and meaningful comeback to Malayalam cinema.

With a calm yet assertive tone, Anupama proves that resilience, not response, is the best way to handle trolls—and her journey stands as inspiration for many.

SC Clears Kamal Haasan’s Thug Life for Karnataka Release, DCM DK Shivakumar Urges Restraint

0

In a significant development, the Supreme Court of India has lifted the ban on Kamal Haasan’s film Thug Life in Karnataka, paving the way for its statewide release. The ban was earlier imposed by several pro-Kannada organizations angered by Kamal Haasan’s controversial remarks about the origin of the Kannada language.

Responding to the verdict, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar addressed the media, urging activists and pro-Kannada groups to “know their limits” and respect the constitutional framework. “Everyone has the right to protest, but only within legal boundaries,” he stated firmly, adding that no one should take the law into their own hands.

The Supreme Court’s directive clarified that once a film is approved by the Censor Board of Film Certification (CBFC), it cannot be arbitrarily stopped by any group. “Mobs cannot decide what should or should not be shown in theaters,” the court emphasized in its ruling.

The controversy surrounding Thug Life began during its promotions, when Kamal Haasan commented that “Kannada originated from Tamil,” sparking backlash and leading to calls for a ban in Karnataka. Despite the nationwide release on June 5, the film had remained off screens in the state until now.

Directed by Mani Ratnam, Thug Life is expected to release across theatres in Karnataka soon, following the Supreme Court’s intervention.

Prabhas Delays Sequels: Focuses on Fresh Projects First

0

Prabhas Isn’t Prioritizing Sequels—Here’s Why That’s a Power Move

Pan-India superstar Prabhas is known for blockbuster franchises like Baahubali, Salaar, and the recent Kalki 2898 AD. While sequels to Salaar and Kalki have already been greenlit, the actor seems in no rush to follow the conventional franchise formula dominating Indian cinema right now.

Though production activities have quietly begun for both Salaar 2 and Kalki Part 2, insiders reveal that Prabhas is deliberately pacing his involvement, choosing instead to prioritize standalone films like Raja Saab (directed by Maruthi) and Spirit (with Sandeep Reddy Vanga).

While some producers worry that delayed sequels may lose public interest, Prabhas remains unfazed. He firmly believes that content and the right promotional strategy can revive any hype—no matter when the film hits theaters.

Interestingly, if his sequel strategy holds, Prabhas will return to a franchise sequel nearly a decade after Baahubali 2—a bold move that goes against the trend of fast-tracking sequels for quick box office returns.

By trusting the material and not just the market trends, Prabhas is making a clear statement: he’s here to build lasting impact, not just cinematic universes.

Pushpa Raj Beats Bollywood Titans in Hindi TRP Battle: Pushpa 2 Sets Historic Record

Icon Star Allu Arjun has once again proven his pan-India dominance with Pushpa 2, which not only shattered box office records but is now breaking viewership barriers on television as well.

Even after its OTT release, the film’s Hindi TV premiere created waves by scoring a massive 5.1 TVR rating and reaching 5.4 crore viewers, outpacing Bollywood biggies like Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and Ranbir Kapoor’s Animal.

Directed by Sukumar, Pushpa 2 was released in December and grossed an astounding ₹1800 Cr worldwide, solidifying Allu Arjun’s status as a Pan-India superstar. Despite intense competition from IPL broadcasts, the film’s Hindi TV debut surpassed even IPL’s TRPs—an almost unthinkable feat.

What makes this even more phenomenal is that Allu Arjun, a Telugu star, has outperformed top Bollywood actors in their turf, marking a rare achievement in Indian cinema. His electrifying portrayal of Pushpa Raj continues to resonate deeply with audiences across linguistic and regional boundaries.

Adding to the glory, Allu Arjun was honored with the Telangana state’s Gaddar Award for his performance in Pushpa 2.

Up next, the actor will be collaborating with director Atlee, further fueling fan excitement and pushing expectations even higher.

The Raja Saab Cracks the Top 10 Teasers on YouTube

The teaser for The Raja Saab, featuring Prabhas in a captivating dual role, dropped on June 16 and immediately caught the audience’s attention. The supernatural horror teaser stirred mixed reviews but successfully generated significant buzz, proving that intrigue and star power can triumph without unanimous praise.

Within the first 24 hours, the teaser amassed an impressive 31.3 million views, earning the 7th spot among the most-viewed Indian teasers on YouTube. Released simultaneously in five languages, it reached a diverse and widespread audience effectively.

Though it didn’t surpass the massive views of Pushpa 2, the Raja Saab teaser outperformed other star-driven films like Animal and Fighter, highlighting Prabhas’ consistent pull with his projects.

This marks Prabhas’ fourth teaser in the top 10, a rare accomplishment seen only with some of the biggest names in Indian cinema. His previous hits like Salaar, Adipurush, and Radhe Shyam demonstrated similar patterns—teasers that spark conversation and command views without relying on gimmicks but rather through compelling visuals and sheer star appeal.

With more high-profile teaser launches expected shortly, the leaderboard is sure to evolve. For now, The Raja Saab has firmly established its presence, reinforcing Prabhas’ reputation as a box office and digital sensation.

Telugu Film Teasers Clash 2025: Hits, Misses & Massive View Counts

Telugu Teasers Clash: Some Sparkle, Others Stumble

In 2025, film teasers are no longer just announcements—they’re tests of audience anticipation, marketing strength, and star power. A trailer might earn roaring applause or unleash a storm of trolls. Recently, Tollywood has seen a surge of teaser releases, each vying for attention amid a cautious box office atmosphere.

Prabhas’ Raja Saab—a unique comedy-horror—lit up charts with striking visuals and a much-awaited release, crossing 14 million views in just one day. Fans embraced the film’s fresh tone and style, making the teaser a clear hit.

Akhanda 2, starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, roared back with an action-packed sequel teaser, gathering 26 million views over a week. The momentum from the original film carried over, keeping fans excited.

However, War 2 faced a mixed response despite hype around the Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR pairing. The teaser amassed a whopping 40 million views, but the South Indian audience was divided on Jr. NTR’s negative role, cooling some enthusiasm.

Mirai, featuring Teja Sajja, offered a fresh mythology-meets-sci-fi narrative. The teaser, showcasing a warrior protecting nine divine scriptures, hit close to 10 million views, gaining appreciation for its unique concept.

Kuberaa, starring Dhanush, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nagarjuna, also impressed with a strong thriller teaser that grabbed attention in the crowded market.

On the other hand, Vishwambhara, the big-budget fantasy starring Chiranjeevi, has been a cautionary tale. Released months ago, the film was heavily trolled for weak VFX but still managed to cross 30 million views—proof that curiosity doesn’t always translate into applause.

As the Telugu film industry navigates this teaser battlefield, all eyes are now on the trailers. The first impressions from trailers will ultimately decide whether these films build momentum or falter before release.

Now, Sekhar Kammula is set to work his magic again with the upcoming film Kubera, starring Kollywood superstar Dhanush alongside Nagarjuna and Rashmika Mandanna. Scheduled for a worldwide release on June 20, the film has already generated massive hype through its posters, teaser, and trailer.

During recent promotions, Sekhar Kammula opened up about working with Dhanush. Since Dhanush is also a director himself, Sekhar admitted he felt quite tense about directing him. He was worried that if he asked for another take or made suggestions, it might create some tension on set.

However, Sekhar praised Dhanush for his professionalism, noting that he completed many scenes in a single take. Besides directing and acting, Dhanush also shines as a singer and lyricist, showcasing his versatile talents.

Sekhar also shared his excitement about working with Nagarjuna for the first time and how their familiarity made the shoot smooth. Another actor, Jim Sharba, surprised everyone by fluently delivering his lines in Telugu and Tamil, despite English being his primary language.

Why The Raja Saab Has 3 Heroines: Maruthi Reveals Prabhas’ Hilarious Request

0

The Raja Saab: Maruthi Reveals Why Three Heroines Were Cast Opposite Prabhas

Prabhas has explored nearly every genre—from romance and action to fantasy and mythology—but horror remained untouched. That changes with The Raja Saab, a romantic horror fantasy directed by Maruthi. The film fulfills Prabhas’ long-time dream of starring in a horror movie.

At the recent teaser launch of The Raja Saab, director Maruthi shared a humorous and revealing anecdote about the casting process, particularly the decision to cast not one, but three heroines opposite Prabhas.

When Prabhas agreed to the story, Maruthi initially hesitated. His last release hadn’t performed well commercially, and he was unsure about handling a pan-India star. However, Prabhas gave him full confidence to move forward. Now, after multiple delays, The Raja Saab is set for a grand theatrical release on December 5, 2025.

The teaser, which dropped on June 16, was met with an overwhelmingly positive response. Fans were thrilled with the visuals and tone, and the excitement has only intensified since the announcement that back-to-back updates will follow.

Maruthi recounted a funny interaction with Prabhas during casting. Prabhas quipped,

“In Salaar, the heroine barely appears. In Kalki 2898 AD, the female lead is in and out. In Adipurush, Sita Devi is barely around. Darling, there’s no one near me in these films—won’t you at least give me two heroines?”

To which Maruthi playfully responded:

“Two? I’ll give you three!”

True to his word, the film features Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, and Riddhi Kumar in the lead roles.

Netizens are loving this light-hearted take and expressing sympathy that Prabhas hasn’t had enough romantic screen time in recent years. But with The Raja Saab, that looks set to change.

Vinitha’s Rise and Fall: From ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’ Fame to Controversy and Silence

Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu: Vinitha’s Sudden Rise and Unexpected Fall

The 1996 Telugu film Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu, starring Victory Venkatesh and Soundarya, remains one of the most loved family entertainers in Tollywood. The film, directed by EVV Satyanarayana, captivated audiences with its engaging storyline and timeless comedy. It still enjoys regular reruns on television, especially because of Venkatesh’s impeccable comic timing and charm.

While Soundarya played the main female lead, the second heroine, who played the role of the Nepali girl Manisha—Venkatesh’s second wife in the film—also garnered immense attention. That actress was Vinitha. Her graceful presence and acting won the hearts of many, and she became popular almost overnight with just this one role.

Vinitha had a promising start and went on to act in over 70 films across Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. However, her budding career took an unfortunate turn in 2003 when she was arrested by the police on suspicion of being involved in a prostitution case. Though she was later cleared of all charges and released in 2004, the damage to her reputation was irreversible.

Vinitha accused the authorities of falsely implicating her and claimed that the incident ruined her film career. The mental distress following her arrest led her to step away from the limelight. After a long break, she briefly returned to play a key role in the Tamil film Enga Rasi Nalla Rasi (2008). However, she did not take up any further projects and has since maintained a low profile.

Vinitha has been away from the film industry and social media for years, but a recent photograph of her has gone viral, sparking nostalgia among fans who remember her impactful but brief stint in Tollywood.

Nagarjuna on the 1000 Crore Club: “Records Are Temporary, I Don’t Chase Numbers”

Nagarjuna on the ‘1000 Cr Club’: “Records Are Temporary, I Don’t Chase Numbers Anymore”

In an industry obsessed with box-office numbers, veteran actor Nagarjuna has taken a grounded stance. At a time when filmmakers and stars are fixated on entering the 1000-crore club, Nagarjuna says he’s no longer interested in chasing records.

“Records Are Temporary, and I’ve Seen Them Come and Go.”

In a recent interview, when asked if he felt the pressure to join the ranks of stars with 1000 Cr or 1500 Cr blockbusters, Nagarjuna responded:

“I never got stuck in these numbers. These numbers are temporary. It is 1000 now, and two years later it will be 2000. If you look at my earlier films, I had so many records. Every film’s record was broken. So, it doesn’t matter after a while.”

Nagarjuna added that chasing numbers no longer drives him, and he is now more inclined toward experimenting with unique and impactful roles.

What’s Next for Nagarjuna: Kuberaa & Coolie

After his impressive cameo in Brahmastra, Nagarjuna says it opened doors for him to explore powerful, unconventional roles.

In 2024, he’s coming back strong with two major releases:

  •  Kuberaa (June 20): Directed by Sekhar Kammula, co-starring Dhanush, where Nagarjuna plays a powerful character central to the plot.

  •  Coolie (August 14): Starring opposite superstar Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna takes on a villainous role that already has fans buzzing.

Both roles are said to showcase the actor in never-before-seen avatars, and fans are hoping this will mark a massive comeback year for the seasoned star.

Nani’s The Paradise Delayed: Release in Trouble Due to Date Issues?

0

Nani’s The Paradise Faces Delay—Will It Clash with Ram Charan’s Peddi?

Natural Star Nani’s much-hyped pan-India project, The Paradise, has reportedly hit a major roadblock, casting doubts over its originally planned March 26, 2026, release.

Shooting Delay Due to Date Issue

Despite initial plans to go ahead without shifting dates—even as Ram Charan’s Peddi was set for a one-day-gap release—The Paradise now seems unlikely to meet the schedule.

According to insiders, several key actors in the film are unavailable for the next leg of the shoot due to date conflicts, forcing the team to pause production. The shoot may resume only by July or August 2025, depending on availability.

 Director & OTT Status Update

Director Srikanth Odela, who previously impressed with Dasara, is said to be fully ready to push forward once logistics settle. But for now, the production delay might mean the film could miss the summer 2026 window.

Meanwhile, no official OTT deal has been signed yet. Although Netflix is said to be in advanced talks, the makers have not made any announcements.

Additionally, the rumored casting of Mohan Babu in a key role remains unconfirmed, adding further ambiguity to the film’s current status.

Potential Box Office Clash with Peddi

With both The Paradise and Buchi Babu Sana’s Peddi eyeing summer 2026 slots, fans are now worried about a box-office clash. While Peddi is progressing smoothly and allocating time for post-production and early promotions, The Paradise appears to be struggling with scheduling issues.

Industry insiders suggest that a date conflict would do neither film any favors. It may be strategically wiser for the teams to space out their releases to ensure maximum audience reach and box-office success.

What’s at Stake for Nani?

Nani, who faced a lukewarm response for Hit 3, is said to be completely dedicated to The Paradise and has no other active film commitments. The film is expected to be one of the most ambitious and high-content projects of his career.

Fans are hopeful that, despite the delay, the final output will live up to the massive expectations surrounding it.
