Sachin Tendulkar’s daughter ‘stalked’

Sara Tendulkar, daughter of the legendary batsman Sachin Tendulkar is in the news. She was reportedly harassed by a stalker who claims to have fallen in love with her. The man is a 32-year-old who is a native of Mahishadal in East Midnapore district of West Bengal has been arrested after making an official complaint at Bandra police station.

Debkumar Maity says he is in love with Sara after watching her at the pavilion during a match. He also informs the police that he managed to get the landline number of Sachin and made some 20 calls. So far, I haven’t met her in person, he said.

The Bandra police are likely to charge Debkumar with stalking, passing lusty comments and threatening statements. He is most likely to be produced in Haldia Court before shifting to Mumbai on transit remand. Police have recovered a dairy in his house where the accused mentions that Sara is his wife and even claimed to have married her.

However, family member’s version is different and they say, Debkumar is mentally not sound and is undergoing treatment for the past eight years. He also happens to be a college dropout and unemployed. The medical analysis will be done to determine his mental stability. Now all the mystery is surrounded around, how a mentally unstable person can attain the phone number of Sachin.
