Shocking accident in Vishakhapatnam…30 Students injured

A shocking accident took place in the city of Vishakhapatnam. Three buses of the same educational institution have collided with each other. The incident took place on the Yarada Hill in the city. 200 students were reportedly present in the buses at the time of the accident. More than 30 – 40 students have been injured in the incident.
The students belonged to a private school in Vijayanagaram, a city 50km away from Vishakhapatnam. The school management organized a picnic trip for the school students on the scenic Yarada Hill. The accident took place while the students were returning back home.
‘Three buses were coming down the hill slope behind one another. After the brakes of the first bus failed, it reportedly hit a portion of the hill on its way down the slope. Immediately, the next bus collided with the first bus, and the third bus collided with the second bus in the span of seconds,’ said the local police who reached the accident place.
Parents of the students have reached the spot after they were informed. It is learnt that one student is critically injured. The students injured in the accident are currently receiving treatment in nearby hospitals. The police have registered the case, and are investigating the cause for the accident.
