Karanjit Weber, popularly known as Sunny Leone, recently made a donation plea on social media to raise funds for her aide, Prabhakar Yedle, who has been battling against kidney failure for over two years. Sunny took to Instagram and Facebook on Wednesday morning requesting her fans to donate for the selfless cause.Sunny mentioned in the post how wonderful a human-being Prabhakar is and how he deserves a second chance in life just like each one of does. The Baby doll also expressed what Prabhakar means to her and also the team; how he took care of her food to nearly everything on the sets. His treatment expenses have been borne by Sunny and her husband along with the team for quite some time, but now it is becoming difficult to raise the huge amount alone. Therefore, she resorted to crowd-funding to make kidney transplant possible for Prabhakar.
Leone wrote in the post that only 20% of Prabhakar’s kidneys are functioning. The actress wrote,“Hi My name is Karenjit Weber and I am raising funds for my friend, Prabhakar. He is the one who takes care of our whole team while I am shooting. He is also the Mamaji (uncle) of Nisha, Asher and Noah. He is the sole bread winner which makes it very difficult for his family to bear the expenses of his treatment. He has a wife, a mother and his child who depend on him. He has been fighting Kidney failure. One year ago he was hospitalized in a horrible hospital that was not treating his condition properly and told him that he needed to remove his kidneys. They would have killed him for his organs. Daniel (my husband) and I had no idea until the last minute and removed him from that place immediately and cleared his bills for release. We then admitted him in a proper hospital and he saw a kidney specialist who informed us that only 20% of his kidneys are functioning.”The Splitsvilla host has also posted links for donation on her Facebook page and Instagram bio.
