In the Ujjain district, an SUV strikes two motorcycles, killing two couples.
Two couples and four people were killed on Wednesday afternoon in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh when an SUV struck the two motorbikes they were riding.
The couples, who ranged in age from 42 to 55, were riding separate motorcycles, according to Jagdeesh Goyal, the in-charge of the Bhairavgarh police station.
Around 2:30 pm, he said, the speeding SUV struck them on Unhel Road, causing the accident.
All four passed away instantly.
The deceased were identified as Jaswant Lakhara (45) and his wife Nirmalabai (44), and Munshi Khan (55), along with his wife Zubeda (52).
Goyal stated that a case has been filed and that the SUV driver was also hurt and receiving treatment at the district hospital.
