Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming film ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ is already creating tremors in the Telugu Film Industry. Irrespective of the location, the premier collections have tough all-time high. Given the hype and craze for the film, it is obvious that one can make big time money if they can put the makers in a fix. The same strategy has been implemented by T-Series.
After it was rumoured that, Director Trivikram took inspiration from the French movie ‘Largo Winch’ for Agnyaathavaasi, T-Series reportedly approached the makers of ‘Largo Winch’ and purchased the movie rights. Post that, the T-Series officials have sent a legal notice demanding an undisclosed sum from the makers of ‘Agnyaathavaasi’ as compensation.
Understanding the gravity of the situation, Director Trivikram managed to strike a deal with the T-Series. Few sources claimed that Trivikram reportedly paid close to Rs. 10 crores as compensation. But trustworthy sources have confirmed that the sum is around Rs. 1 crore. Meanwhile, the T-Series company has also issued notices to other high-budget films that are currently on sets.No wonder, T-Series has turned towards ‘Purchase and Defame’ technique, to cash on Indian makers, who are known for plagiarism in their movies.
