Tamil Producers Association Issues Red Card to Simbu, Dhanush, Vishal, and Atharva:
Tamil Film Producers Council Issues Red Cards to Dhanush, Silambarasan STR (Simbu), Vishal, and Atharva
The Tamil Film Producers Council in Chennai has taken a significant step by issuing red cards to four prominent actors in the industry, namely Dhanush, Silambarasan STR (Simbu), Vishal, and Atharva. This decision was made by the council’s executive body in response to various issues and complaints against these actors, sending shockwaves throughout the Tamil film fraternity.
One of the complaints centers around Simbu, who is alleged to have breached his commitment to work for 60 days on a film but only fulfilled 27 days of work. This complaint was lodged by film producer Michael Rayappan, renowned for producing the blockbuster hit “Anbanavan Adangadhavan Asaradhavan.”
Vishal Reddy, the former president of the council, is facing allegations related to the mishandling of the association’s funds during his tenure. Atharva is embroiled in the Mathiazkazan controversy.
In June 2023, the TFPC (Tamil Film Producers’ Council) had previously issued warnings to several actors, including Simbu, Vishal, SJ Surya, Atharva, and Yogi Babu, all prominent figures in the Tamil film industry. The red card effectively means that these actors are temporarily prohibited from collaborating with any Kollywood producers until further notice. This development has garnered significant attention on social media, with the actors now needing to resolve their disputes with the producers before taking on new film projects.
As of now, none of the four actors have officially responded to the red cards. They all have upcoming projects and substantial fan followings, making it a matter of great curiosity for the media and the public to see how they will address and resolve this red card issue. “Mark Antony,” a film starring Vishal Reddy, is on the verge of its release, while “Captain Miller,” featuring Dhanush, is also slated to grace the screens in the near future.
