Usually, the Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Temple closes at 9 pm in the night and reopens again in the morning. But recently, rumours surfaced that some pujas were going until 11 pmin the temple premises. The temple’s authorities immediately informed the AP State Police. As a part of the investigation, the police officials examined the CCTV footage of Vijayawada Kanaka Durga Temple.
Shockingly, they found an unidentified man. The authorities confirmed that the man was not among the priests who perform their daily duties in the temple. The unidentified person was seen along with a Senior and a junior priest on 26th December, at 11:00 pm. The police are investigating the case from the angle of ‘Tantric pujas’ being carried out in the temple.
Few sources claimed that the pujas were going on until 12:45 am past the midnight. It is known that the Temple authorities have given permission to two individuals for the cleansing of the temple. But a third person was also found in the CCTV footage. Insider sources claimed that the alleged pujas were being performed for a ‘famous’ personality, and without the permission of the permitted individuals, there is no way the unidentified person can enter the temple.
