Telangana to set up 48 oxygen generation plants to meet requirement

Asking the officials to ensure that there would not be any shortage of oxygen in future, he also instructed the officials to set up an additional plant to produce 100 tonnes of the liquid oxygen in Hyderabad.

At a review meeting on Covid situation, KCR, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, directed that six units of 16 tonne plants, 15 units of eight tonne plants and 27 units of four tonne plants should be set at Hyderabad, district and area hospitals.

KCR, who also hold the Health portfolio, asked the oxygen producers to hand over 11 tankers with each having the capacity of 20 tonnes within 10 days.

He said that in the coming days, Telangana should not face a situation where it is depended on other states for supply of oxygen.

He also appealed to people seeking Covid treatment to get admitted to government hospitals and take advantage of availability of beds, oxygen and free treatment, food, medicines and other facilities, instead of spending huge money in private hospitals.

Since the treatment is one and the same in private and government hospitals, people should prefer the government hospitals, he said, adding that as on Monday, there were 6,926 beds vacant in the government hospitals. Of these, 2,253 were oxygen beds, 533 ICU beds and 4,140 general beds.

KCR also instructed the officials concerned to make arrangments for the equipment and the required medicines in ENT Hospital in Koti, Gandhi Hospital in Secunderabad, and medical college hospitals in the districts to treat the black fungus disease that is spreading among treated patients. The CM declared that the government is ready to spend any amount funds for improving medical and health infrastructure facilities. A decision has been taken to set up new medical colleges in Sangareddy, Jagtial, Kothagudem, Wanaparthy, Mancherial, and Mahabubabad. He also instructed that along with these medical colleges, colleges of nursing should also be formed.

The CM said in those medical colleges where there are no nursing colleges, they should be sanctioned. He said the proposals already submitted for the nursing colleges sanction should be examined immediately.

He said to give medical treatment facilities and medicines to the poor in the government hospitals, 12 regional sub centres should be formed at Siddipet, Wanaparthy, Mehboobabad, Kothagudem, Nagar Kurnool, Suryapet, Bhongir, Jagtial, Mancherial, Bhoopalpally, Vikarabad, and Gadwal.

To supply medicines on war footing to the several government hospitals from these Centres, vehicles should be arranged either own or on lease. Similarly, to store the medicines, cold storage facilities should be set up at the sub centres.

The CM instructed that the 200-bedded hospitals in Anantagiri in Vikarabad, Singareni, RTC, CISF, Railways, Army and ESI hospitals should be brought in for Covid treatment.

The majority of Indian players prefer to gamble online, and they play a huge part in the growing gambling industry. Many Indians prefer to gamble online as it is more advantageous to them, considering that the number of land-based casinos in India are limited to states that allow gambling. So whenever they feel like gambling, all they need to do is visit local betting sites.

below are the main reasons why online gambling is a big thing in India

There is always something new to try on. The sky is literally the limit when it comes to game selections.
  • Bonuses and promotions – If you have tried out online gambling, you know that bonuses and promotions are a part of the platform. It is the platform’s way of enticing new players to sign up for an account with them as well as ensuring to retain existing players. Many online casinos in India offer welcome bonuses the moment they sign up, but the massive bonus can be availed after making an initial deposit. Bonuses are in the forms of deposit match-up bonus, free spins, free bets, and VIP rewards, to name a few. Online casinos have the budget for such grand bonuses and campaigns in the sense that running an online casino is not as costly as running a land-based casino.

Fortunately, the majority of online gambling platforms offer various payment methods, and most of them are convenient to Indian players. Some of the preferred payment methods include online banking, e-Wallets like Neteller and Skrill, Unified Payment Interface (UPI), Paytm, and cryptocurrency, to name a few. Such payment solutions are quick real-time transfer, although, for withdrawal, it could take up to five business days depending on the withdrawal options you selected.
  • Online gambling platforms are constantly improving – If there is one good thing about online gambling platforms, it is the fact that the online gambling platform software developer constantly innovates to ensure to deliver the best gaming experience. India is, without a doubt, one of the powerhouses of online gambling. The number of players is massive, not to mention the current pandemic that forced people to stay home. With online gambling platforms, players need not go out of their home to enjoy different types of gambling. All you have to do is sign up for an account with an online casino of your choice. Then, fund your account using any of the available payment options, activate your bonus, and play all you want.

German football chief Keller resigns after Nazi analogy

0

German football federation (DFB) president Fritz Keller resigned on Monday after comparing vice president Rainer Koch to a Nazi judge.

Keller, who at first resisted resigning, stated last week he was ready to leave his position after he compared Koch to Nazi judge Roland Freisler at a meeting in April. Further details of the comparison are not known.

In a statement, Keller said he was “taking personal responsibility” for his “lapse at the executive committee meeting, which is to remain the sad low point of the DFB’s desolate leadership situation”, DPA reports.

Keller’s apology earlier this month was not accepted by Koch, while he also lost a no-confidence vote from regional federation chiefs.

Freisler attended the Wannsee Conference, which set in motion the Holocaust. Later, he was appointed president of the People’s Court, where he handed down around 2,600 death sentences from 1942 to 1945.

“The DFB must change. It must regain its credibility, confidence in its integrity and performance,” Keller said, but pointing out he found “resistance and walls” within the federation when trying to “professionalize and modernize” existing structures.

The DFB, the largest single sports federation in the world with more than 7 million members, has been scandal-ridden for years, most notably concerning the affair around dubious payments in connection with Germany’s hosting of the 2006 World Cup.

Wolfgang Niersbach resigned as DFB president in 2015 over the World Cup affair, and his successor Reinhard Grindel quit in 2019 over accepting an expensive watch. Keller was Grindel’s successor.

Keller said he didn’t “succeed in achieving a trusting, reliable and collegial cooperation within the bodies of the DFB,” and mentioned that after a second tax raid at DFB headquarters he realized that “far too often it was about internal power fights, securing advantages, and working on one’s image in the public life.”

He added that implementing his program was repeatedly made “difficult or impossible in many places.”

“I had to fight legally for the implementation of transparency and for the right to be provided with information that was a matter of DFB interests,” Keller said.

Keller acknowledged his misconduct was “shameful” for the federation, but his resignation “will not solve the problems within the DFB and football”.

However, he said that the discussion about necessary changes at the DFB initiated in recent days gave him hope and called for short-term measures such as personnel renewal at DFB’s highest ranks and the clarification of “all possible irregularities and misconduct at the DFB by external, publicly recognized specialists”.

Last Tuesday, the DFB announced that the contract of secretary-general Friedrich Curtius would be terminated. He faces investigations by the DFB sports court and also lost a no-confidence vote by the regional bosses.

A court decision in Keller’s case is also expected this week regardless of his choice to resign.

Canara Bank employee in Kerala arrested for fraud

0

An employee in a Canara Bank branch in Kerala’s Pathanamthitta, missing for months after allegedly conducting fraud to the tune of over Rs 8 crore, has been arrested from Bengaluru by a Crime Branch team, police said on Monday.

Vijesh Varghese, who hails from the Kollam district, was missing for about three months before the police tracked him down from a rented flat in Bengaluru where he was staying in hiding with his wife and children, and arrested him on Sunday night.

After he went missing, bank officials had found out that he had been tinkering with accounts of customers and siphoning off money from them.

Initial probe revealed that Varghese was using the authorization passwords of his colleagues in the branch where he worked to commit the fraud and allegedly used this money to play in the share market and also play online rummy.

With the bank taking a serious note of the fraud, four staff members of the branch were suspended from service.

The police team will now start questioning Varghese and for that, he will be brought to the branch where he worked.
