Bumrah, who went wicketless on Day 1, was back in action on Monday with a fiery spell. In the first session, he bowled Mushfiqur Rahim (16), who had managed to survive some early scares. Rahim’s dismissal left Bangladesh struggling at 112/4 after Bumrah delivered a perfect ball that clipped the top of the off-stump.

Bumrah was India’s standout bowler, finishing with figures of 3/50. Mohammed Siraj also played a crucial role, picking up two wickets, including Hasan Mahmud, who was trapped LBW by a sharp in-swinger. Despite Bangladesh’s review, the decision stood.

Ravindra Jadeja made history by taking his 300th Test wicket when he bowled Khaled Ahmed, sealing India’s dominance. Jadeja became the seventh Indian bowler to reach this milestone and the second fastest to do so after R Ashwin.

India’s disciplined bowling, combined with sharp fielding, left Bangladesh with little chance to increase the pace. Haque’s century was a lone bright spot as the bowlers tightened their grip. Bangladesh’s innings ended at 233.

Play resumed on Day 4 at 9:30 am after rain delays, with Bangladesh at 107/3. Bumrah and Akash Deep maintained tight control from the start, leading India’s charge.
