Ukraine joins a cooperation with 11 other countries to train F-16 pilots.
In order to form a coalition for training pilots to operate F-16 fighter jets, Ukraine has signed a pact with 11 nations, according to Oleksii Reznikov, the defence minister. A coalition for the Ukrainian Air Force’s F-16 training has officially been formed, Reznikov tweeted. The Minister was quoted by Xinhua news agency as stating that technicians and support staff will also take part in a training programme in addition to pilots.
The coalition’s formation makes it possible to integrate different kinds of fighter aircraft in the programme, he continued. Reznikov expressed his gratitude to the Netherlands and Denmark for taking the initiative to form the coalition. Vadym Prystayko, the ambassador of Ukraine to the UK, announced separately that 20 Ukrainian pilots will start receiving training on Western fighter jets in Britain.
