UPPSC officials are actively working
The UPPSC is taking steps to help aspirants who pass the preliminary and mains exams of the UPPSC but fail to clear the interview stage by securing jobs for them in the private sector. The commission will gather certified data of such candidates with their consent and post their information on its website for private firms and agencies to invite them for job opportunities.
Although only a few candidates are ultimately selected for posts, passing the mains and qualifying for the interview is still considered an exceptional achievement. Official sources indicate that the UPPSC’s data will include the aspirant’s name, phone number, and academic details, which will be available on the commission’s website for private firms and agencies to invite them for job opportunities.
UPPSC officials are actively working on this initiative, and candidates are being contacted. The private sector is in need of capable aspirants, and this initiative will help bridge the gap between supply and demand. The commission will also reach out to agencies to fulfill the task, and the state government will cooperate to prepare private agencies to hire potential candidates as per industry or agency requirements.
A senior UPPSC official believes that aspirants who complete the journey till the interview are quite capable, and this initiative will prevent students from going into depression by providing them with jobs while also serving the industry’s requirements.
The commission is preparing to include a column related to obtaining consent from candidates in the application for the main examination in the upcoming PCS recruitment and those who want their names and roll numbers to be included in the authenticated data will need to fill the consent column in the application.
