26-year-old Rupal Tadvi was dragged away by the woman police constables after she ran towards the stage at a public rally. The incident took place in Kevadia Colony, Gujarat. Gujarat Chief Minister, Vijay Rupani participated in an election rally.
During his speech, a woman stood up in the crowd and shouted that she wanted to meet the Chief Minister. She ran towards the stage before being dragged away by the policewomen. Vijay Rupani announced from the stage that he would meet her after the program is over. The CM met her as he promised.
Rupal Tadvi is the daughter of a BSF soldier who was martyred during his service to the nation. ‘The government promised us some land. It’s been 15 years since the death of my father who is a BSF soldier. No government came to our rescue,’ stated Rupal Tadvi.
After listening to her, Vijay Rupani promised that she would receive 4 acres of land, Rs. 10,000 pension and Rs 36,000 from BJP Party. He ordered the state officials to look into the matter and settle it as soon as possible.
Rahul Gandhi took a dig on this issue after he posted the video on Twitter and commented ‘BJP’s arrogance at its peak’. Mr. Rupani retaliated by slamming Congress on the One Rank, One Pension and Adarsh Society Scam.
