Minister Devineni Uma open Srisailam gates to release water: After 3 years Srisailam project filled because of floods. So they raised the gates on this Thursday morning. The AP Minister Devineni Uma held the Pooja at the project and later they released 36 cusecs of water to Nagarjun Sagar by lifting one gate of 10 feet. Currently, Srisailam water reservoir contains 214.8450 tmcs of 884.80 ft.
1,39,007 cusecs of water coming from the upper area. They used hydroelectric power plant and send 32,878 cusecs of water to Sagar from Srisailam left ground. And from right ground 42,378 cusecs of water. They released 12,000 cusecs of water for Pothi Reddy head regulator, 1600 cusecs of water for Kalvakurthi project, 338 cusecs of water to Handriniva. Srisailam MLA Rajasekhar Reddy and Achampet MLA Bala Rao attended to this program.
