Amritsar-Katra bus falls into gorge in Jammu
A bus accident in Jammu district resulted in the tragic loss of at least 10 lives and left 55 others injured. The incident occurred in the Jhajjar Kotli area when the driver lost control, which was traveling from Amritsar to Katra.
Jammu SSP Chandan Kohli confirmed the casualty count and stated that the rescue operation is nearly complete, with the presence of an SDRF team at the scene. It was revealed that they were carrying more passengers than the allowed limit, which will be investigated further.
Four critically injured individuals have been transferred to the Government Medical College in Jammu.
