Ten people have died and several injured in eastern Uttar Pradesh’s Mau district after a house collapsed following a cylinder blast this morning.
Several people are worried to be trapped, according to the district authority. A cylinder collapsed inside a two-storey residence in Mau’s Mohammadabad region. So strong was the influence of the blast that the building came tumbling down.
People in the region told that they heard a noisy blast and flames emitted from the house soon after.
A recovering operation is on at the position of the fallen house to verify if people are caught in the debris. Ambulances and an enormous crowd accumulated at the site.
Condoling the deaths, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has urged the district officials to assure that the injured and families of those who have departed receive all the help.
